I-751 December 2016 Filers

It was sent to MO, the NBC center are the ones that prep the N400 files before they send them to the local office. 

 

And when it comes to N400 its by local office processing time and case by case. 

 

So not everyone will be recieving an invterview in the next 30 days. Some are in for the long haul depending on their local office. 

 

Some like you said will get an interview scheduled this week and some will get an interview in 2019

 

Needless to say the N400 filers atleast screwed themselves by causing another I751 interview that was suppose to be a very rare case.

Derwood, user who recieved transfer to NBC in march is still waiting for both ROC and N400 because his local office is a busy one. 

 

Its not about good news or bad news but recongizing patterns. We have long suspected and seen that N400 filers are being skipped and combined. And this is what happened here unfortunately.

The transfer of some of our I-751’s to NBC could be either a blessing or a curse depending on how backlogged your field office is. My field office in Seattle takes about 12 months to finish N 400 though according to their processing time though some people have been lucky to have their interviews half that time. 2 filers with same priority date as me who filed on 12/05/2017 just received interview notices as well as another October 2017 filer. By filing my N 400 in December 2017, I’m already half way in the process rather than for me to have waited for I-751 to be adjudicated in California before beginning. It would be even amazing if I’m scheduled within this month or the next. I personally don’t mind the joint interview. I’ve still been stockpiling evidence sine I sent I-751 in December 2016.

It is but its undeniably unnecessary  stress. Obviously going to citizenship interview alone with a 10 year green card is literally NOTHING compared to going to citizenship interview with a spouse and a hanging I751. 

 

If the n400 raises any concerns in the former, who cares, you still have your 10 year gc and it’s generally safe. However if a problem arises and you I751 is also sitting there pending than it will trickle down and put you in limbo. 

 

The time I applied for citizenship there zero movement happening at CSC. 

 

If there was movement like we are seeing now, I would advice people not to apply for N400. A combined case is obviously something uscis officers dont have a lot of training with and just seems way to messy.

This is why my anxiety level is so high at this moment, you expressed my thought. I was very debating whether to file N 400 or not in Dec. 2017 when my 90 days window opened. I waited till the end of last year, CSC stalled for long time. And I heard some cases got N 400 interview so fast and passed it without being asked about ROC, their ROC cases were just closed. So I decided to file N 400 in early Jan. 2018.

Now I don't know if it's a blessing or curse, just praying no longer waiting and no complications..

I'm in the same camp, didn't file N-400 yet. VSC Dec 16 filer. It's been about 529 days(17.5 months). I'm even outside the approximate uscis VSC approval times. Time to call again. Ugh.

Interesting. Corrected name status usually comes before approval. Call Tier 2, or two.

Just talked to a tier 2. Not much help, they put in the same lame request I did two months ago basically trying to get rid of me. Gotta call another tomorrow. They said the same thing 2 months ago when I talked to them, that name changes are usually followed by some movement.

I think you can also put a service request online and contact senator, that would take some time too. Better that just plain waiting

Hello, I am a DEC 2016 filers under I-751 Divorced to my Ex Spouse. Done with Biometric and received NOA last January 2017. I got my passport stamp last Feb 2018.

 

Last March 3rd 2018, I received a letter via mail, that they tranferred my case in TEXAS! Is there anyone who is having their cases tranferred in TEXAS SERVICE CENTER, I see a lot of people receiving tranfer to NEBRASCA and others.
