If USCIS keeps approving us at the current rate of about 20000-21000 per quarter we should be seeing our approvals April - May. Although, we can see that each quarter in 2017 they keep approving less and less applications. We can also see drastic change in 2017. In 2015 and 2016, USCIS kept approving more than 30k applications each quarter. In 2017 that have changed and they processed only about 21000 each period which is 30% less applications comparing to the same period in 2016. That's even worse when we compare it to 2015.

Thanks for sharing such a good graphs.

In fact, I have been collecting data and it had similar results based on what USCIS has provided figures in I751.

Application received Approved Denied Pending backlog
2016 144,648 134,288 8096 121412 10,360
2015 165785 147520 7908 118793 18,265
2014 178359 154983 9512 104883 23,376
2013 171651 231778 11605 76264 -60,127

So in 2013, USCIS had approved 231778 catching up backlogs, but ever since then it was slow. I believe 2013 big catch-up is due to Obama's re-elected as that was when Obama had to make a lot of promises on immigration. Unfortunately, political climate change has happened under current administration and based on your graph, 2017's approval total # is even less than 100,000, meaning that in 4 years, the approval number has been decreased from 300,000 to 100,000 annually.

This is definitely concern and must be questioned to grill USCIS director during congressional hearing because it is the same USCIS, a federal organization with more funding from increased fees and yet failing to serve immigrants in timely manners while they keep insisting that customer experience has been improved. I-751 delayed processing time is not within any reasonable accounts

My attorney advises that among immigration attorneys, they believe that under current administrations, USCIS started to delay family-based immigration while they get picky about employment-based immigration petitions in order that avoiding future immigrants is best of US national interests. Also it is disappointing that Democrats are more interested in DACA recipients than I-751 immigrant petitions, who is under firm and legal category immigrants.

Also I was roughly comparing numbers and main increases were for DACA applications. In 2015 they received 480 k/processed 511k. In 2016 received 260k/processed 200k. In 2017 they received 470k/processed 460k. So they been really on top of DACA applications. Another increases were in temporary protected status. In 2015 they received 280k/processed 260k. In 2016 they received 300k/processed 187k. In 2017 they received 60k/processed 160k. So they have been on top of that. So from the bigger perspective it seems like DACA and temporary protected status were priorities. Never the less they should have been more proactive in terms of getting new hires and training. That might be a reason why we see slowdowns in processing  family based applications.

He submitted his applications in CSC. I checked it, I also think he send his in VSC but its not.

I stand corrected then!

How very fortunate of him.

Was he interviewed? That might explain it, as there are indeed people from all months getting processed faster but with an interview notice.

I was surprise when he recieved a approval notice last Nov 30, 2017 then by Dec 02, 2017 he recieved his actual card without any RFE & Interview. Lucky him! How I wish we can get all our 10 year Green Card without problem too. God bless us all! ☝🏻🙏🏻❤️

I’m here at USCIS now. Getting my Passport Stamp because I have plan visiting my country next month. Do you have any question in mind regarding our case that you want me to ask?

Awww, that's so nice!

I'm OK. I was there last month to do the same thing as I also travel a lot out of the country. The lady processing my request was extremely nice and apologetic. She just basically said that they're dealing with a lot of applications, and that we need to be patient (which I am...).

I'm just hoping we'll all get our GC sooner rather than later, that's all.
