Hi guys! Thank you for updating and congratulations!! My question is how did the envelopes you revived with approval letter / geeen card looked like? Was it a first class mail with "Do not forward " stamp on it? Or just plain white envelope?

It was a white envelope with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services letters on the outside. Regular mail and no other markings. Hope this helps!

Haven't been on here in a while, thought I'd provide an update.

After being told by USCIS 1-800 earlier in the year that my 1 year extension letter expired in Dec 2017 (the one year anniversary of my 2 yr conditional residency) I was told to make an infopass appointment to get my passport stamped.
I called USCIS 1-800 again in September 2017 to confirm what I needed to do, and was then told that my extension letter actually expired ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF ISSUE, not 1 year from original residency. This meant my extension expired in October!
Mad panic to get infopass appointment at the Detroit field office (a four hour drive from home) to make sure I could get my stamp.

Booked appointment, drove out the night before and got a hotel room. Arrived at heavy security mad house Detroit field office early, but also got called to a desk nearly 45 minutes before scheduled appointment time, so that was ok. Very nice officer then told me I was a month too early to get my passport stamped as my extension letter expired in DECEMBER! Argh!
The officer, when finding out how far we had come and that we had incurred the expense of a hotel, agreed to stamp my passport early - I now have an extension to October 2018.

Lessons learned from this: Never trust the info you are given by the 1-800 number - call more than once with the same question to see what answers you get!
Also, the officer told me that the USCIS Processing time website is not accurate - I mentioned that the I-751 date of files worked on showed July, but he felt it in reality it was more like April or May 2016. He DID say he was confident I would get my 10 year green card before October 2018, but that if I did not, I just had to make another Infopass appointment and get another stamp.

Anyway, that's my long winded story - good luck to all!

Another clarification - I believe our ROC file is in California Service Centre ( I am in Michigan).

Sounds like they must be much further behind than Vermont.

HI Guys!

I'm freaking out here!! after waiting and waiting... the other day I was rechecking my I751 form and I noticed I left the marriage date field blank and I mistakenly wrote that date where the "end of Marriage" date goes!.  we did send a cover letter saying that we're still married, everything is fine... but I'm afraid to be denied because of that small error. I set up a letter outlining the receipt numbers for my I-751 and a corrected form to send.

any thoughts on what else should I do?

Thanks!

:D

So, based on this, there's no point making an Infopass until the month before the anniversary of the conditional green card expiration date? For most December filers I'm assuming we filed as soon as possible and our anniversary is in March, so Infopass in February. My NOA says "Your conditional residential status is extended for a period of one year." Has anyone heard of issues when travelling after the one year anniversary of the NOA receipt date (Dec 20 for me), but before you can get your passport stamped (Feb 9)? Which is exactly when I'm travelling of course...

Oh wow, I really feel they should put an expiration date on the NOA. Like just spell it out: status expires xx/xx/xxxx. That would make things so much easier. I have extended my drivers license with the NOA letter and the DMV considered it to be one year from the date of the letter, and not one year from the expiration of the green card. When I went for the stamp, they were nice though and just gave me the stamp on October 31st. My NOA was dated November 30th.

Thank you for this information. However the post office representative just told me even this blank letter won't get forwarded simply because it's coming from immigration. I guess I'll have to create another thread indeed to get advice on that subject. Thank you guys

I'm glad you get it sorted out! I'm just a bit confused, you dont recall going to USICS office and going through fingerprinting and picture taking procedure? That should have happened about 11-12 months ago.

It would make things easier. Maybe I'll just go to my infopass appointment next week and see what happens - given that I know I'll be travelling, I'm trying to eliminate any chance of being detained for 3+ hours after a 16hr flight. On the plus side, my DMV gave me a five year licence (I wasn't going to correct them), so as long as this is sorted by mid 2019 that shouldn't be an issue lol.

Perhaps we can work on filling out the table that we used at the start of the year with our filing/NOA/Bio dates? We'd have to hunt down the final version....I think @jeffkadrliktorr was updating the table most of the time? Mar 11 might be the last one?
