Keep in mind, the posters here are a tiny, tiny percentage of the total number of applicants. There will be a small percentage of people that routinely seem to skip the queue, through either luck, location or various green flags, and in the grand scheme of things that's probably normal. However when one of those applicants post here, it would become a huge statistical anomaly because of the relatively small userbase to compare to here.

Previous posters have indicated that filing an N-400 forces USCIS to process the I751.  If for no other reason, that is incentive for me

Just letting you know that some people for July 2016 are getting approved. 75% total. 

Some from august too. 

It looks like it will take about 14 month.

Thank you for an update. A friend of mine from July 2016 fillers who is not at VJ just got a card as well. Let's hope its will be  14 months Indeed 🙏🏼

I have heard that when you apply for the N-400 it forces an adjudication of the I-751.  Would be interesting to know how that affects the overall timetables for July filers (or any other).  Curious if it results in a split in times.

So tired of waiting. Damn CSC. Waiting longer than a year is beyond! I was hoping to be done after 14 months. But they are moving  with speed of 15 days per month. That means we will be waiting about 18 months at least !

Bummer!  I'll be eligible on December 4th and will be sending spot on. Have it all ready to go, I wanna be done with USCIS.

Better to get it started early on then if you have the money to cut 3 months off the waiting process. Makes no sense waiting till you have your 10 year green card before even beginning time wise. Your N-400 forces your I-751 to be adjudicated. The worse that could happen if not by the time of your N-400 interview is scheduled is that you'll have a combined I-751/N-400 interview. Your I-751 will be approved in a few mins before beginning with your N-400. My field office in Seattle currently takes 8 months to process N-400, by filing in December i'll be a few months ahead than actually waiting to file sometime in February or whatever time our I-751 gets approved.

What are your guys thoughts on using an immigration lawyer for the n-400 filing? 

Has anyone here used lawyers?

Most people just do it on their own, without a lawyer. Unless there's something about your situation that makes you think you may need a lawyer. I didn't need a lawyer for the K1 Visa, AOS and so far I haven't needed one for ROC, but my case is straight forward so I was able to confidently do it all myself.
