One question: Since the date of my green card expired, I've been reluctant to use the Global Entry kiosks. Anyone tried using them with an expired GC (and extension letter of course). Jut last Friday had to endure one hour in line for immigration...

You simply can't use the kiosk as it won't accept your expired green card.

What I do, after speaking with CBP shortly before my GC expired, is go to the GE line (skipping the kiosk) with my expired GC, GE card, and extension letter; NEVER an issue, and NO lines!

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.

USCIS made a mistake in my last name on the NOA. My lawyer sent a request to change it. When I check my case status, it says that the name was changed. However, I didn't get a new NOA. My lawyer says it's fine. They usually don't do that. I need to travel soon and I'm a little worried that one letter in my last name is wrong. Do they look at alien # only?

I'm sure it will be fine? But I would definitely look further into it just incase. My first name is spelt incorrectly in my passport, and it's never been an issue from coming here on the visa waiver program, then on the K1 visa. Although I am not from a high-fraud country, so maybe they weren't as @nal about everything?

You can however use the Nexus Line with your GE if you cross by land.  I've done so twice since my card expired.  The first time, they asked for the GC (I provided letter as well) and although she was miserable, it wasn't an issue.  The second time, they didn't even ask for the GC, just asked where we were going (airport).   Will see how it goes flying back from Europe next time.  I expect it won't be as easy.

Interesting, RE the Nexus Line, that's good to know.

As for flying back from Europe, that's where my experience is based; you shouldn't have any issues doing what I do.

Happy travels!

Thanks.  Sadly, one of the reasons I started land crossing (fly to Detroit, then drive across) is the problems when I first got my GE (it seems there was an error made when they did it, and now my fingerprints flag)...no fingerprinting usually by land.  All it means is time in secondary, but it's just annoying.

Ah interesting, I've never used Nexus, dont you have to have your car's license plates registered also? When I used to have Sentri, you could only use the Sentri lanes when using a car registered with the program (so no rental car).

Hi All,

Quick question.. I've filed the I-751 on Dec 12/19/2016 and NOA is 12/20/2016 and Biometrics is 01/26/2017.

1. I did not send the IRS Tax Transcripts when sending the i-751 package. Instead I send the tax return copies. I know this might cause me to receive a RFE. So recently I requested the transcripts and got them through the mail. Should I send the tax transcripts now? or wait until "If" I get the RFE.

Anyone have links to samples on how to send additional documents?

2. I did not change the address through AR-11 (we moved twice since receiving conditional greencard back in Feb 2015) when fililng the I-751 but did use the current address and received NOA and biometric appointment letters to my current address. Should I still file for the AR-11 now? I heard that if I use my current address when filing I-751 I shouldn't have problems but some people are saying we should.

Thank you All!
