It's been 5 months since I sent my I-751 application. No update from my end.

Any update from anyone else who filed I-751 with CSC in Dec 2016?

If USCIS sends at least an RFE to any of the Dec 2016 filers, it will give an indication that they have started looking into our I-751 applications. I am eagerly watching this thread to see an update from Dec 2016 filers. 

Immigration Journey

 

  • On L-1B visa for about 1.5 years before getting my F1 visa.
  • F1 (2 years) to OPT (6 months) to H-1B (8 years; Had an approved I-140 and extended my H-1B beyond 6 years) to Conditional GC (3 years 3 months) to Permanent GC.
  • I had earned 40 credits in Social Security, submitted I-864W when filing for I-130.
  • Husband and I are both Indians by birth. Husband became a naturalized USC in July 2014 and I applied for AOS in August 2014.

As far as I know, nobody in here has heard anything! I keep popping in here to check to see if there's been any updates too but I think we'll be waiting a good few months yet unfortunately..

5 months is too early according to current processing times considering the fact that they're now processing June 7th 2016. If this trend continues which will, December 2016 filers at CSC will start seeing results in November 2017.

Adjustment of Status From F-1 Visa.

8/14/2014: Mailed AOS package: I-130, I-485, I-765.

8/18/2014: Accepted in Chicago. Transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

8/21/2014: Received NOA 1. I-130, I-485, I-765 in mail.

8/25/2014: Received biometrics in mail. Scheduled for 9/8/2014

9/24/2014: EAD approved. 36 Days!

10/01/2014: EAD mailed.

10/03/2014: Received EAD card.

10/14/2014: I-485 moved to testing and interview.

1/28/2015: Interview scheduled for 3/4/2015.

1/31/2015: Received interview notice.

3/4/2015: Interview completed and APPROVED!

Per one of the threads on Visajourney, one October 2016 filer at CSC has received an interview letter for I-751 adjudication. So I was wondering whether USCIS might start looking into Dec 2016 applications in a month or so. When it comes to USCIS process/processing time, your guess is as good as mine.

You may want to take a look at the June (and May...!) filers' threads, as there are plenty there that have yet to be approved. I would say one can expect an approval in 11-12 months, based on both official USCIS processing time (June 7 on https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do), as well as VJ users' experience. 

 

 Unfortunately, the October 2016 filer with an interview date seems to be an exception, not the rule.

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.

Same here, I try to check it every couple of weeks just incase, but same Waiving the fees notice.

Well, 2 from October fillers were approved ....yey!!!!!! hope this goes faster now!:blink:

I keep seeing the USCIS page: "your waiver fees were approved"  ...and I just get bored of it....

They should at least place some songs or change colors LOL and I will place a computer with that page only on.

I think the fact that you don't hear ANYTHING makes it worse, like you'd at least like to know that things are moving along but you hear absolutely nothing after Biometrics, but let's be honest, we all know they just stack them in a pile for over half a year

Sadly, from the look of things, it appears i751 is one of the slowest amongst USCIS benefits. Smh!

I think a couple months ago they were processing May 29 2016 applications, now they're on June 7 2016. Months for them to process a weeks worth of applications. Pretty crazy
