Would love to be added to the Dec 2016 list.

I751 date 12/3

NOA1 12/7

CSC

no letter yet for biometrics.

Sorry, while I read the list instructions, I couldn't figure out how to reply to a specific post (i.e. the most recent version of the list) since I assume that is different from quoting?

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm in the process of filling out the newest version of Form I-751 for my husband who is the petitioner to remove condition on residence.  I'm having problems completing part 8 because where it says Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Application Support Center it says:  I, and there is a box but the application won't let me type anything there.  I believe part 8 is for the spouse (myself the US citizen) and I know I must sign it but I'm a little bit confused whether or not I should put any name in the box or I should leave it in blank.  In other words who should be filling out part 8 of the newest version Form I-751.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.  Thanks for your help in advance.

Maite

You do have to fill in part 8. You put the US Citizens name, the date, then the US citizen has to sign it. I'm not sure why you're having trouble typing in the box, I had no problem so i'm not sure I can help with that

That's pretty lucky. I updated your info on the list. I'm hoping to receive mine today, but I'm not holding my breath.

I added you to the list. The instructions are outdated ever since VisaJourney updated the website a couple days ago. I used to quote the post, then in the HTML just remove the quote tags, but the post would appear new and not as a quote. But now, I've just been quoting it and we can't seem to edit the HTML for posts anymore..

Thanks...I'm not usually so computer illiterate ;-)

Can anyone tell me how far in advance of the biometrics appointment the letter usually comes?  I'm seeing many of those around my dates have appointments, and I've had no mail.  Since the USPS has had holidays as well, I'm hoping to get something this week...and I hope my biometrics doesn't screw up my file with CBP (I've had issues every time I have to be fingerprinted - my file seems to get re-flagged based on a denied entry prior to my visa journey (denied because they felt I was planning to immigrate despite (imo) plenty of proof of Canadian ties) even with Global Entry)  :-(

Hi Jeffkadrliktorr,

Thanks a lot for your response and it really helped because at least I know that my name should appear automatically in the box of part 8.  It looks like I'm the only one having that problem.  I don't know why that is happening either because I entered all my information on part 4 and my name should appear automatically on part 8.

From what I've seen people have been receiving the biometrics letter around 2 weeks after NOA1. Then the appointment has usually been scheduled for around month after you have filed. But for us in this thread it has been taking longer. I got my NOA1 on the 8th and I still haven't received mine. Everything must be delayed because of the holidays, USCIS & USPS are GOVT services right, so I assume they were closed a lot more this month than usual.

Hi! Im worried of getting deported because didnt get a chance to file earlier due to very stressful and busy work. My conditional status expires on 1/16/2017. My I-751 package was received on 12/28/2016. It's still within the 90 days...but will this be enough time? In case I don't receive NOA1 before that date, does this mean I am out of status?

You should be fine. You will be receiving the NOA1 letter soon which will extend your green card for a year which should keep you in the country while the I751 is being processed.

But ’tis a common proof

Whereto the climber upward turns his face.
But when he once attains the upmost round,
He then unto the ladder turns his back,
Looks in the clouds, scorning the base degrees
By which he did ascend.

You're fine. You should have your NOA1 in the next week or so. How did you pay? most likely if they've cashed your check/money order, your application is in. You're just waiting for the letter at this point.

I did my biometrics today - it was originally scheduled for 1/12/2017, but I decided to do an early walk-in. It was so easy! I didnt have to explain why I wanted to do an early walk-in. They just accepted my biometrics appointment form, requested my greencard AND california drivers licence. I had to fill out a quick form for them to enter the details in. After that I was called for my fingerprints and I was done! Took me less than 30 minutes to get in and out.

Make sure to take at least 2 forms of ID. They said that greencard + drivers licence (California) is the most preferred. Otherwise it would be greencard + passport.
