Mine expired January 2017, barely anyone has been requested to redo them so it's really not an issue.

Gotcha. My lawyer said only they can request them, but that's good to know Natonstan.

Hi, is there any suggestions of what they would like to see in RFE? Usually they outline something related to your case. I believe it’s starts with a list of what you sent and then suggestion what else you can send to establish a good faith.

i think you can just send updated versions of documents you already provided and in case if you don’t have something they asking, write an explanation why you not able to provide it.

Seems like you filed a service request?

Call and request to talk to Tier 2 officer for explanation

Folks,

My husband works for DHS-USCIS. He has informed me that there have been a massive number of lay-offs in all departments of USCIS in the past few weeks.

I would suspect this would cause more delays for processing.

Hi, is there any movement at Facebook group? I don’t use it so can’t see myself. Seems so quite in here..

Just had a quick skim, can't see anyone mentioning approvals at CSC from today/yesterday, trust USCIS to take a break right as we're scheduled to be approved...

Hi everyone!  We are still patiently waiting--no news on our part yet.  I once saw that someone posted some documentation which explains what the i-551 stamp in our passport is.  Does anyone have access to that link?  I can't seem to find it when I do a search.  We were hoping to have my husband's green card before he travels this summer, but it doesn't look likely :( We wanted to print out that explanation of the stamp, just in case.  Let me know if you can find the link!  Thanks in advance!

Hi there - are you looking to get a stamp or do you have one already? If you only need the backup information, I provided it before... here's the copy/paste:

Hey all - no case updates, sadly. Same old transfer notice and fees waived with both case numbers. I'm posting to let anyone who may travel outside the US know that we didn't have any real issues leaving and coming back on the ADIT stamp we got with an Infopass appointment just before our trip out of the country. The airline seemed to have no idea what they were doing or what the stamp was, but accepted it anyway.

The only issue upon entry (LAX) was that since we no longer have a physical GC to scan at the immigration kiosk, a secondary review was necessary and took about an hour, during which we were separated (and both very nervous). At the kiosk, instead of the GC it asked for, we tried my husband's passport that was within 6 months of expiring - also not really an issue but probably not the best thing. In the end, everything was fine. I had all the necessary backup paperwork showing what we've submitted so far and also the carrier information guide from CBP that specifically shows an example of the ADIT stamp (page 39) just in case. The first agent looked at it and said, 'Oh, a renewal,' so at least he recognized it. He then (apparently mistakenly) stamped the passport with the normal 'Admitted' stamp. He said a secondary review was needed and called over another agent to walk my husband to the back area and I wasn't allowed to enter with him - I nervously waited in baggage claim. He waited about an hour and they didn't ask any questions, but called him up to the counter and said, 'You're all set,' and gave back his passport and other information. The only strange thing that I wasn't expecting was that next to the ADIT stamp, the 'Admitted' stamp was crossed out and a 'Paroled' stamp was placed. I did a very quick Google search panicking with my understanding of parole in a legal sense, but I guess it's very specific in terms of immigration. If anyone has other info, that'd be great as I haven't done more exhaustive research just yet. I guess this section kind of makes sense from the Wikipedia entry (although he doesn't really meet all of the requirements listed there...):

  Quote

Another use related to immigration is advance parole,[3] in which a person who already legally resides in the U.S. needs to leave temporarily and return without a visa. This typically occurs when a person's application to adjust status to permanent residency (to obtain a green card) is pending and the person must leave the U.S. for emergency or business reasons. It is also used for a temporary travel of those who received deferred action status by the USCIS, or have an asylum application pending. In the wake of September 11, 2001, there has been greater scrutiny of applications for parole and advance parole.[4]

Best of luck to all of us waiting!

Thank you so much!!!!  Yes, this was the post I came across a while back.  Thank you for sharing this info again!!!   My husband does have the stamp already, and he is going home this summer.  We were hoping to have the GC by now, but things look like they may be delayed even more.  You mentioned in your original post that you brought back up documentation in addition to this info about the stamp.  What did you choose to bring?  We have piles and piles of paperwork from this process, so I wouldn't even know where to start.

I'm hoping to go home in September and I know there's only a slim chance I won't have the card by then, but I don't trust USCIS enough to book tickets yet....I'm also too lazy to get a new stamp
