Some late Jan 2017 filers got approved. The way USCIS does their business makes people speechless.

I'm still hoping and praying late next week and into the following week will be our time, the fact Jan 2017 filers are getting approved before us is ridiculous.

My green card is being produced!! I didn't get any notices before this about my case status. The WAC receipt number is the one that was on my initial I-797 notice of action.

I am so happy! I hope my card doesn't take too long to arrive. 

 

I received two email notifications, one from USCIS-Case-Status@uscis.dhs.gov last night stating

So its safe to say those that were transferred to NBC are being skipped completely?

 

not to mention it seems only about 50% of the applicants per month are being approved and the rest are left to scramble for what to do with their lives?  

 

On the bright side, the happiness from approvals is 10 times from a process that shouldve been painless and largely unnoticed. 

 

Congrats to those approved, take a moment to enjoy life, dont jump right back into its messiness.

I hear you, the hardest part of this waiting is we don't really know how they are going to play the game, it changes so much after May 2016 filers.

USCIS processing time indeed stretched my patience.

Yup give me a date (even as far as 5th of December 2019) and ill forget it and go on about my life, while id still throw my hands in the air at the long wait, id mark the day on the calendar and move on. 

 

This whole could be tomorrow could be 12 months from now combined with N400 is just not healthy for human minds, there are levels of patient the mind deploys, usually the last few days of waiting for something are very stressful and anxiety inducing and the mind is consumed with scenarios, possible applicantion mistakes, questions at interview etc etc. And now we are left in that state of mind for god knows how long.

I am not sure if the packages being sent to NBC are being skipped completely.  Our’s Was approved a few weeks ago.

I hear you, It is such a paralyzing feeling. People tell me to forget it all and go on with my life andwhen it happens it will happen and such. Easier said than done. I think people mean good but forget how much this means to us and what toll it takes on us.

From looking at Nov, it seems only 50% of applicants were approved before USCIS moved on to Dec and Jan. I know there a lot variables at this point, with people not coming back to the site, N400 applications filed, UsCIs having issues with online filing, DACA, new adminstration memos, all the long term GC holders applying for citizenship and file transfers all over the place so who knows. 

 

But one thing is for sure, the agency is a mess right now and its going to take years to untangle it while they still keep the integrity of the processes intact.
