Hello! Thank you for reading my thread.

I just registered my account here. :)

My fiance and I are preparing the K-1 application and we have a question...

I used to have a green card through previous marriage so I had an Alien Registration Number.

After we divorce, I came back to my country and returned a green card to the US embassy.

Do I need to write my previous Alien Registration Number on G-325 or should I leave there blank?

I believe we need to keep using the same SSN but I am not sure the Alien Registration Number is also the same or not.

If someone knows about this, please let us know!

Your SSN number never changes so use that on all your documents that ask for a SSN number. You can have more than one Alien Registration number for a couple of reasons. If you had two numbers you would use the newest number. However, since you only have one number I would use that one. If they assign you a new number then you would use the new one going forward.

Thank you very much for your reply.

And please allow me to confirm your answer.

So you mean if the applicants have Alien Registration Number before, we need to write the newest number on G-325 weather it's active or not?

I was thinking since I returned my Green Card, my Alien Registration Number was discarded and not active anymore...but I guess I should still write the number, correct??

I really appreciate your help!

They need ways to verify who you are. If there is a newer number then that is the active one. If there is no newer number then the older one is the last number they know the person by.

One Number - Use that number.

Two Numbers - Use the newest.
