blame the olds.

I'm one of those retirees that are included in the 95 million. You people in CEHST need to keep working and paying taxes so I can keep getting my hard earned IRS government pension. :content:

I am, and I will. You certainly deserve it. I just hope someone is around to keep paying it forward when I get to your lucky spot in life. Drives me nuts when I see someone talking about how SS is "government aid for the old people". SMH

The US economy is about to boom. Where you live with all the illegals there will be a different looking city in a few years when most of them are out of here. We are in a for a boom especially in our area, we will be in for a super boom

He's not being sarcastic. Just uninformed. Or perhaps he is saying "boom" as relates to the administration change, not the markets.

Hence the "if I didn't know any better" ;) I do know better but what he said came out so unrealistic it seems like something someone could only possibly say if they meant the exact opposite.

Well, not everyone is smart enough to take advantage of their own investment advisor on VJ. But some are! ;)

How can the building boom where you live be from Donald Trump's win? It was what, 3 weeks ago? You mean in 3 weeks you've seen a building and population boom?

Not say it's going to happen, but if you are seeing changes now it is, god forbid, from an Obama presidency and not Trump.

Read the article, Toyota is moving here with a workforce of 5K, leaving Cali due to the non friendly business climate there, Liberty Mutual is suppose to bring 5K jobs, and the list just keeps growing and growing. They are coming to this area for friendly climate Texas offers business. If you are not aware our old Governor Rick Perry started going around the USA and recruiting businesses to come to Texas, and now Greg Abbot has continued the policy.

With a Trump coming into office I suspect the already existing building boom to go insane, and when things like that happen there is lots of money to be made

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
