I called again on today. I said I would call everyday this week rather I aggravate them or not and will ask the same questions.. That is what they are paid to do!!! Today I did get a better response than yesterday scan date is the 10th of Nov. and was told that no later than Monday I should hear something.... Cool... ill be calling you guys daily until then... :reading::reading:

You need to call NVC and find out when they received your documents. The date they acknowledge receipt is your scan date.

Her response makes NO sense. She thinks they will be less likely to misplace a paper file than an electronic one...? #######?? Remember, even though it doesn't seem like it, YOU are the one in charge

As I said earlier, supervisor review is a polite way of saying "yes, we know that you already hit the 6 weeks mark, we know, now go away."

6 weeks is up on Wednesday (tomorrow!), will call them then to follow up, but it sounds like a lot of scan dates in early November are being completed! Mine is Nov 9th so i'm hopeful it will be soon.

Also - how do you get your timeline to show up in your signature?

I think everyone just creates their own and types it out? Because ours are all a bit different :)

Has anyone asked NVC about which days they are closed for the holidays? I'm wondering if they will be open this Friday and next Monday or not.

For those still waiting, what is your scan date? Mine is October 28. Put on Supervisor Review December 12. So I am at 7 weeks and 4 days. When I call they tell me I should hear something any day and still nothing.

Has anyone asked NVC about which days they are closed for the holidays? I'm wondering if they will be open this Friday and next Monday or not.

When I spoke with them yesterday, the guy said they will only be closed on Monday.

Just an update that I'm still waiting as well. Scan date October 31, supervisor review December 16. It'd be nice if CC came on the 22nd- it's the 7th anniversary of when we met. :)

Met: December 2009

Married: April 2015

Received CR-1 visa: February 2017

POE (as IR-1): April 2017

Oath ceremony: November 2020

My 3rd scan date is 11/28 - I asked since its my third time through if I get put in an express lane and the guy sort of chuckled and said no. I'll call tonight or tomorrow to follow up though I dont really expect any news until mid January.

Is police clearance certificate a must for NVC for case complete? If we submit IV package without PCC, will there be any check list before interview is scheduled?

I know we need original PCC before entering US consulate in Mumbai for visa interview.

Please share your experience if you were able to get case complete without submitting PCC copy to NVC.

I had couple of questions:

1) Does anyone gets their case completed less than 6 weeks; my scan date for me is November 29th?

2) Also, how long it takes for US Embassy New Delhi to schedule an interview after CC? For tourist visa it is 3 day wait time.

I really am hoping to not get a checklist because this process has already been long and time consuming enough. I'm curious, for those of you who got a checklist, what did you get a checklist for? And what tips do you have in order to avoid that?

Also; did you have to wait another 6 weeks with a new scan date once you submitted the checklist?

My 6 weeks completed yesterday. I called NVC hoping against all the odds, but was put on supervisor review and was told that it can take another 6 weeks for this review to complete.

Does anyone know how much time does NVC take to schedule an interview after the case is complete for Mumbai,India embassy. Also is there any changes in the status of the case on their website if its ready for interview schedule or not?

My case was completed on 12/16.

On 12/19 I received checklist for Financial information.I forgot to write in annual income for this year, but i did send paystubs.Checklist says we can take to interview.. as of today Status still shows "At NVC" how long before that changes?
