This is the RFE cover letter NVC sent asking for a 30 day review

This is a genetic template letter. It wasn't written just for you or specifically for your case. Unfortunately NVC are far behind their goals at the moment. When I sent my documents I got a response saying "2-4 weeks". It took 7 weeks 1 day, without a checklist.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Hello everyone! Hoping to have plenty of case completes and interviews this month :)

My case was just closed today and I was told we're in queue for an interview, but the employee told me she could not tell me how many were ahead of me. Just that Ciudad Juarez embassy gives them dates and they fill the slots regardless of if its at the end of the month or not. However, I've seen a lot of people being assigned interviews the last two weeks of the month as well as the first week of the next month. What do you guys think?

Yes they start making appointments at the end of each month and into the first week or so of the next month. The people on the phones can't see how many cases are waiting at each embassy but looking at dwheels76 spreadsheet it looks like Juarez is not that busy and people are getting interviews within 45-50 days. I think you will be a February interview.

Thank you for your response.

The first 6 weeks of waiting for us weren't that bad, luckily because my husband is in the US with me, thank the lord.

Once we get our scan date, the 6 week count down begins again!

Congrats on your approval by the way :) I follow your timeline, and it's wonderful to see how far you've come

my scan date was November 1st. they had put me on supervisor review on December 8 before the6weeks time frame has ended on the 13th. when I called this morning a different agent told me that whoever put me on supervisor review before the six week end did the math wrong and it's invalid now they put me on another supervisor review today as my 6 week ended yesterday.

I asked my congressman to contact the NVC. They responded to let me know that there is nothing they can do to further the case atm. They contacted the NVC and there is a big backlog... basically said that the case wont even be looked at before 6 weeks. Guess its time to just chill out and accept the wait :clock:

I really hate NVC. I called last night (we are a few days shy of 6 weeks) and was on hold for 52 mintues. When they rep finally answered, he immediately asked to put me on hold and instead cut me off! Grrr. I didn't even try to call back since it was so late by then. Ugh....Guess I'll try again tonight. I just want to be with my husband...

I keep hoping I'll see you post with a CC because our scan dates are so close! That happened to me the other day, too - but when I called back I was immediately connected with a rep. Not sure how that happens. I hope we both receive some good news soon!!

I'm not sure how anything happens at NVC. It's all very hit or miss it seems. Hoping for CC for us both soon!
