How long after the third N/A does it take to get a confirmation on an interview date?

Depends on a few things:

- how busy your embassy is and how long the wait for an available appointment is

- when in the month you get the third N/A - interviews are scheduled in the last week and the first 1 or 2 weeks of the following month (so at the end of December and beginning of January they will be allocating the February appointments - but if there is a long wait at your embassy you may have to wait several months)

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Has anyone with an RFE had their documents reviewed in the 30 days promised in the RFE checklist letter? Or was it longer? (6 weeks)

I have not received a checklist, but I am going to guess you received their generic standard letter that claims 30 days but sadly won't deliever on that promise. On the site to check your status, it claims documents are reviewed in 2-4 weeks and we all know that's not the case right now. Unfortunately for all of us they don't accurately convey timelines which leaves us all frustrated and overloading them with phone calls.

I attached a copy of the letter I got, and it says 30 days. I also noticed the address to send a response to the RFE is a different department. I wonder if the different department processes cases in 30 days.

I will call NVC Friday and ask them what they think too.

Thanks for the responde

I got the same thing about 7 or 8 times yesterday, but finally got through to speak with someone. That happens when their phones are overloaded and reach capacity for hold calls. Keep trying and try different times. They tend to be super busy around the time everyone is at lunch or getting off work.

Maybe its the time of the year or just the amount of time this whole process takes but I'm exhausted. I never expected to be living apart from my wife and daughter for this long. If my son didn't like school in the US so much I probably would have packed up and gone back to Japan many months back,.

Its not fair that the government can keep me and my family separated for so many months - Now over 14 months because of USCIS taking their sweet time and this damn NVC process that is both unclear and unfair.

Thank god I'm going to see them next week for 3 weeks, but, I'll be leaving again without them.... hopefully by early January I'll at least have some clarity on when my wife can go to the Embassy for her interview.

I feel you it took uscis 12 months to approve my case now , stuck at nvc.

This is the RFE cover letter NVC sent asking for a 30 day review

I understand. Typically the government sends a standard letter and don't update it to reflect the current processing times. I would say hope for 30 days, but with how backlogged they are right now be prepared for longer. Once they receive your additional evidence, you can all and ask them how long they except it to take to review.

Hi everyone just checking in scan date Oct 26 and I am now on supervisor review its been 7 weeks. I am not happy going to see congressman tomorrow. It's not my problem they are not hiring people and are backlogged. Me and my wife have been calling to speak to a supervisor after the six week mark everyday. I don't have time for the nonsense.

Hello everyone! Hoping to have plenty of case completes and interviews this month :)

My case was just closed today and I was told we're in queue for an interview, but the employee told me she could not tell me how many were ahead of me. Just that Ciudad Juarez embassy gives them dates and they fill the slots regardless of if its at the end of the month or not. However, I've seen a lot of people being assigned interviews the last two weeks of the month as well as the first week of the next month. What do you guys think?
