we just called NVC and got to talk to a nice rep who put the request in to have our package reviewed and said " it does not mean it will take up to 6 weeks, but the process could take 6 weeks from the day she put the request in." Fingers are crossed for the review to go smooth.

I just contacted my Congressman and signed the privacy release authorization with all case details. I am 8 weeks into this and every time I call they tell me something different. It's time for someone to step up and get these people to work. Hoping for fast review.

I did this today as well. They keep changing timeframes and its not fair. Good luck!

Maybe its the time of the year or just the amount of time this whole process takes but I'm exhausted. I never expected to be living apart from my wife and daughter for this long. If my son didn't like school in the US so much I probably would have packed up and gone back to Japan many months back,.

Its not fair that the government can keep me and my family separated for so many months - Now over 14 months because of USCIS taking their sweet time and this damn NVC process that is both unclear and unfair.

Thank god I'm going to see them next week for 3 weeks, but, I'll be leaving again without them.... hopefully by early January I'll at least have some clarity on when my wife can go to the Embassy for her interview.
