Oh ok, so we are in a same boat. Yes, the reason the Welcome Letter will come in May is that NVC has to wait for the May Bulletin to be official. Right now we are still on the April Bulletin. In your Welcome Letter you'll get the crucial numbers you need the 6-step process that is beautifully explained on this website:

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/contact.html

I already have most of my Affidavit paperwork ready to go.

Yes we are! Thanks a lot for the link, I'll go over it to be more prepared. Also, will try to start the process for the affidavits  (I will be using a joint sponsor). 👍 You have been extreeeemely helpful Maria! More that anybody else on all the other websites I've tried in the last year and change (even this one 😒)

Hello Friends!

My Wife (lpr)applied for me.

Our PD June 2016.

310 days of case active... another year to wait... we miss each other...

Question pls.

Wife never worked in States officially so no tax. Looks bad in case of filling affidavits of support? Can we add as a co sponsor one of my cousin's or uncle's (citizens)

Thank you!

Hi Maria!

New visa bulletin has recently come out and for F2A, the date on table B is 08APR16... since my PD is January 2006, does that mean that I should get some sort of communication from NVC soon? I've already checked on https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ and it still doesn't let me choose the agent and fees are still "not invoiced".

Thanks in advance!

sorry just now saw your questions. you can try to log in to the web site a least twice a day because nvc will opened it the invoice any now.

Your wife has to fill out an  I-864 even if she doesn't work and then will have to write a letter explaining her situation, what ever it is-stay at home mother, disabled, whatever and why she doesn't have tax returns.  Her uncle (or someone else) will have to be a joint sponsor for your application or else it will be denied.  As long as the joint sponsor meets the guidelines (found on form I-864P) for her/his family/dependent size, your wife not working will not have bearing on the outcome of your case.

Thank Anna for the input!

My wife is not working because she is just studying English language in College. She is a nail care master and need to get license to work officially to make decent income which she can declare. So English first...

The thing is who can be a joint sponsor? Can it be MY relatives? Like my uncle or cousin from father side.

Thank You
