I guess I just want to see that the process is moving forward, keep myself busy getting documents ready and all that... I wish I had your patience tho

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number NBC**********. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

Just received this by email today. What does this mean? What does the National Benefits Centre do? My PD is 9 June 2016.

"The NBC's primary mission is to prepare applications for adjudication that require an interview at a USCIS Field Office." And the form will be the notification of action! This is pretty amazing! It means you're just a few months away to be with your loved one for good! Congratulations!!!

Hi Michael..I'm a bit confused...I'm not sure if this is in relation to our I-130s or if it's the NOA 1 from my husband applying for citizenship..Wouldn't the immigrant visa application be transferred to Abu Dhabi instead of field office..??

This is also what I think. There should be no interview in a field office normally.

Sorry Andy..thank you for replying.. I'm not so sure though..because our I-130s just got approved on May 10, 2017..almost a year after applying..and we have no notifications whether nvc got them or not..it's been almost 1 month now..

Is there any way I can visit my husband & return while waiting for the NVC to process the applications? It would make this waiting of 2 to 2.5 years much less frustrating.

Yes, sure. I am almost half of the year in the USA. Get a visa or use visa waiver. There is a long thread here , google: YES, YOU CAN VISIT VISAJOURNEY and you will find more advise.

Thank you Michael...though there is one other thing...when my husband went for interview, he was asked whether I had a valid B visa... (I had one but I never used it & it expired way back in 2009) so my husband told him that & the officer was like "Good it's expired...else you would have to apply to cancel the B visa so that the I-130s don't get rejected"....& then he told us both I-130s are approved & that he is forwarding the case..

I know a colleague who has travelled on B visa & is currently staying with her husband while her I-130 is still pending (her PD is 2 months after mine)...she said she took it before she got married to her PR husband..so she can travel. But for us..the officer said quite opposite..I haven't  applied for a B visa to visit him yet because I'm worried whether the I-130s get delayed further or rejected even.

Another issue I have is..when the officer approved the case..he said he will keep the files together as one since the I-130s were filed for wife & daughter...however when I check the uscis website...my case status option...only 1 file has been updated..& it says I-130 approved..the other one shows no updates other than uscis receiving the application last June. Should I be worried? Would it end up like I get to travel & our daughter can't or vice versa?

Hi,

1. You can apply for a B visa, it will never harm you. If you are granted the new visa, you can travel. 1000s of others do this.

Dont worry. Make sure you apply in the UAE embassy and tell them you want to visit your husband. If you have a job and ties to the UAE,

there is a good chance they grant it (but it is a bit harder with I-130 pending) If you are rejected, it will not harm your I-130, rather help,

as they see you wanted to visit your husband.

2.  Dont worry about the rest of the family, there is so much time, on one point all will be processed.
