I'm with Montreal as well, PD is mid-Aug 2016. I called and emailed them and got exactly same garbage response every time.

Yes they process many many IR1 and CR1 every month but no F2A, they have plenty of time slots every month, but NVC doesn't assign any time slot on F2A.

I wonder if there is other way for us to push NVC except contacting them?

The baby will need an own VISA, but does not require an own passport. The visa can be put in the passport of the mother and the baby can be added there. Also police certificates are only needed for 16 years of age an older.

@Michael2017Hi Michael, not sure if you can help with this question but I see that you help alot of others.

I am waiting for an interview to be scheduled for Montreal, My pd is may 19 and case complete was dec5.

Do you have any idea why it is so late? do you know if this has ever happened before where an embassy does not schedule our category for months? I am getting worried and the wait is getting very long so im trying to find some peace of mind i guess. the last interview that I saw through these forums that was given was for end of april/Early May right before our date then it stopped.

thank you in advance for you help

I am not sure what a passport clearance is. In my country certainly it does not exist. As for police certificate, yes it is not needed.

From what I understand, there is a shortage of available capacity for interviews in Canada and they have a big backlog. There is nothing much you can do than wait, and give NVC a call from time to time.

Hi Saria,

this would be visa fraud, because you enter with a non immigrant visa with the intention to adjust status. Thus, this is not allowed in this way.
