Hello,

My Fiance used to work in guam last year from June 2015 - Feb 2016. as of obtaining police certificate bcoz she lived there for 8 months. According to this website

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

if you can't search the country in the guidelines, you do not need to obtain a police certificate.

"

For country-specific guidelines on how to obtain a police certificate, review the Country Documents section at Reciprocity by Country.

Unobtainable police certificates

If your police certificate is unavailable per the country-specific guidelines above, you do not need to submit one to the NVC. If you cannot obtain a police certificate for another reason, please submit a written explanation when you submit your other documents.

i'm just need clarification regarding this matter.

We agree that Guam is a United States possession, right?

You could send a written explanation pointing out that Guam is a U.S. territory and not another country, but that might be rude. You don't want the CO to think that you believe Guam is a different country.

I think you're okay without one from Guam.

Regards,

Bill

if you really want to get a police certificate from guam just so they have nothing to complain about. yes it is a Canadian link but it gets the required information.

good luck

well if i don't have to then i won't get one. plus my fiancee didn't have a SSN over there.

Guam is that somewhat gray area.

I would say might as well get one just in case.

Rather have it and not need to show it than get asked for it at the interview and have to wait for the visa until you can provide it.
