It takes about 45 mins to an hour.

There are 3 parts. 1st part you see the doctor who asks you a couple of questions about your medical history. Then they check your weight, height, and also give you an eye chart to read. Then they get you to hop up on the bed where they will do your blood test and also give you a bit of a poke and prod to ask if anything hurts (stomach, legs). I also had to sit up and she checked my back while I took a couple of deep breaths.

2nd part you go and get your chest x-ray!

3rd part the nurse will check if you need any further vaccinations.

And, then you pay...

Hi all! I have been absent for so long it's like I've never been here :dancing:

CONGRATS to everyone who got an Interview Date, and special CONGRATULATIONS :goofy: :goofy: :goofy: to all those who were APPROVED.

I have a quick question: My husband had the interview on 10/19, and got a 221g for more evidence of our relationship. We submitted the requested evidence on 10/24, including more photos, emails, IM chat logs, and a personal letter I wrote detailing the timeline of our relationship. The "last updated" date has changed three times since then, while the status showed AP, but when checking today the status was changed to READY (with the generic interview scheduling text underneath), and last updated date was 12/05 (yesterday). They kept his passport when we dropped off the additional evidence.

Is it reasonable to hope that we have been approved and the status could change to Issued sometime soon?

Thank you!

I would say that's a good indicator that they have kept his passport based on the experience of many here. There are some also that would be called for a second interview if this is it then probably your chances is higher given the new evidences presented.

I hope to see it being issued but a second interview is highly positive outcome as well. all the best for your case. will pray for you..

My husband had an interview today and was put on admin processing due to a wrong police certificate. His passport was retained at the embassy and they asked to obtain a correct police report and email it to them. They told him that it should take about a week to review so we will see. Keeping fingers crossed...

If it's just a police certificate that's missing it shouldn't take long for them to deal with it. That's a very good sign that they kept his passport.

Thank you, JFH! What surprises me is that NVC did not say anything. We had to resubmit police certificate to NVC but now turned out that one of them was not a correct one and had to be requested from a different office. We just thought if NVC completed the case, that meant all the documents were correct ones.

Hi all. Please help! I filed 2 petitions - one for my husband and one for my 18-month old baby. My husband's case is complete and the interview is scheduled for December 30th. So far so good. But i got a checklist for my son saying i needed to submit I-864W instead of I-864 and it is stated in the letter "do not submit the correct form to NVC, instead bring it to the interview", so I prepared the form for the embassy. A week before I got this checklist I called NVC and the agent told me my son and husband will have the same interview together. Today I decided to call NVC and check if after all I should get a separate interview letter for my son or my husband's enough. They told me they are still waiting on form I-864!!! I want to cry. Do you know how can I ask the embassy to expedite my son's case and is it possible to make it for December 30th?

I went through the same thing where my case was completed but not my 5 year old son... I was advised by our attorney to bring along all my sons documents and bring him along with me seeing he's a minor. Our attorney messaged NVC and the embassy to let them know that I need my son along with me and they emailed his interview letter a few days later. No need to cry have your child present at the interview regardless and in the mean time reach out to NVC and the embassy.
