Hi,

I had my interview on November 17th for my K1 visa in Stockholm and the consular officer said my case looked good and that I was approved. Now when I check the visa status at CEAC website it says "ready for inteview" and was updated last on November 18th. I emailed the embassy yesterday and got the reply which said "Dear Madam, Your case is still under review. We will notify you if more information is needed"

What does this mean? Has this happened to anyone else?

Hej allihopa!

Im going to have my interview at the embassy on Feb 2nd. There was no earlier available time! Brukar det alltid vara så få platser för K1visum-intervjuer???

12/12/12 Met in San Francisco, CA (L)

07/02/13-present in a LDR, having been able to meet once or twice a year (for several months at a time, luckily!)

04/27/16 Filed I-129

05/02/16 NOA1 email

05/05/16 NOA1 notice date (L)

RFE... :(

10/18/16 NOA2

11/22/16 Embassy received petition

12/19/16 Medical

02/02/17 Interview (but because US Postal Services f-ed up I did not have my affidavit papers - they were stuck somewhere in Europe). Was told no problem but visa can only be issued after papers arrive.

02/06/17 Papers arrive in the mail, sent in to the Embassy the same day

02/10/17 CEAC: Immigrant visa-AP
02/13/17 CEAC Immigrant visa-Ready

02/14/17 CEAC: Non-immigrant visa-Ready

02/15/17 CEAC: Non-immigrant visa-AP

I thnk they have 4 spots or something. Make sure your USCIS approval doesn't expire :)

Once the interview is booked you don't need to worry about the expiration date

Lycka till

Är du helt säker på det? Jag hade inte tänkt på det när jag bokade but I wanted the earliest time slot possible. I asked the embassy if there was a waiting list but there wasn't, I can reschedule my appt for an earlier date if there is a cancellation, however.

I think our USCIS appr expires on Feb 17, though. So regardless, it shouldnt be a problem. I am extremely sick of waiting though :(

Tack för hjälpen! Ska kolla in Scandinavian forum!

Another question! It says I need to give them military records. Does this only pertain to people who have been in the military? I haven't. Swedes aren't called to screening anymore either and Im a woman, so I don't need to be exempt.
