Hi! Checked USCIS and we got an RFE. At least they already looked at our application. I don't know what they would want more as we tripled check everything and sent everything they need.

Hi K&M,

I thought so too. We received an RFE for not checking a box to a question. Which was the one asking if you've been convicted of murder, sexual assault etc.

So was a big relief to know it wasn't more serious. Hope is something simple.

Awww. That's a bummer! I hope ours is as simple as that though and not more documents to get. I'm worried that it might be regarding my former name. I wasn't legally adopted but I only knew 2 years ago. My adoptive parents changed my birth name. So before filing our petition, I had to do a lot of document changes. Hopefully not as my passport matches my original birth certificate already. We're you able to send back what they needed?

162 days and nothing..... I have become so discouraged :( 4 months and 11 days without an NOA2. I just dont get it.

We were really hoping this would be the faster option vs. the marriage visa. Now I am not so sure.

From what i've seen, the marriage visa takes years. If i'm not mistaken, there are people still doing the visa process since 2014. Hang in there, you're not alone. May 15th should be the magical day when USCIS updates their chart to you will be past due. I've also seen reports of the Noa1-Noa2 process taking sometimes up to 6 months. Once the May report is out on the USCIS site, give them a call and they can investigate. Keep strong, it's a very stressful process, we're all in this together. Your SO will need you to be strong for them too, don't let them down.

Hang in there. Fiance visa is a lot faster. I know someone who applied for a spousal visa and it's been years and still, they have no approval. Hopefully, you will receive your NOA2 soon, Good luck! :)

I have always read your quotes, you are so patient and always answer with class. I was getting so aggravated, but looking at your timeline you were just in front of me, and i noticed you had not been touched. I got an RFE on the 17th and now just waiting. I am sure yours will happen this week still and hope it is an approval! Good luck to you, and I will wait to see you announce your approval!!

Thank you for your kind words. :)

The wait is frustrating for sure, but I realize that for now there is nothing I can do but wait, so I might as well try to be positive about it.

I hope that your RFE is something simple and that you will be approved soon as well!

I've heard that too. My mom said she knew someone that took 3 years and apparently they're still waiting. I assumed they did something wrong, but apparently the spousal visa takes a very long time. Glad I went the fiance visa route!

I am sure they have scripted responses for the common questions.

I'm sure they do, but saying something would have made me feel better at least. Luckily, I haven't had to call yet. Soon though! Good old NVC calling I think I'll start calling next week.
