Hi! I need help with i-134 Part 1, #12 Iam __ years of age and have resided in the United States since (Date) (mm/dd/yyyy).

I was born in New Jersey and moved to Hawaii for like 3 years then I went to the Philippines to study until I graduated college.. and then I moved back to Hawaii last June 2012. What date should I use?

THANK YOU!!

Irvin,

I have been looking at Form I-134 and hopefully in answer to your question as to what to put in question 12 I believe you would put nothing there. If you would relook at that section it is for a person that is not a citizen based on birth in the United States or a person who is non-citizen U.S. national based on birth in America Samoa. So if you are a U.S citizen by birth in the U.S. then you can pass up that section.

Good luck! My Filipina fiance is the most patient person ever. I get all stressed and worried and she's just  calm all the time. It levels me out. ☺️

99% of the time, Grace is too....  She is just stressed, because others around us getting picked is all...

Our time will come!!!!

Hi im a filipina too and agree waiting really sucks!!! Spending some time here in vj i read something that caught my attention:not to compare my timeline to others and check the status once a day probably at night. Everytime i tell my fiance how much im impatiently waiting for notice2 he keep telling me to do things i cant do when im with him.and it helps

im a domestic helper in hk and yes i know grace we share frustrations lol following what my fiance told me really helps it diverts my attention

1,i spend more more time with kids and play a lot with my baby dog i love this little baby so much

2,starting to organize everything so it will not be hard for the next worker to find what they need

3,i spend lot of time talking to my friends every sunday

4, i start gathering some papers too

5, in times that i still think about our approval i cross stitch its my hobby

One day we had an agreement not to look in vj and status we'll just wait for notification 24 hours later i asked him to check to our surprise we got an approval

Things are different i know but everytime we talk we avoid talking about approval it lessens all the negative feelings. As i always told grace wait and wait this is just a test and never ever give up

So our application has been in transit for like 2 weeks from NVC to the embassy. Good lord I can send anything around the world 4 times in two weeks. Thai new year is going on so I'm hoping that's why it isn't updated. The neverending waiting game. I thought waiting to open presents at Christmas was tough.

Wow the ratio of RFEs to approvals are going back up. Here's hoping next week it starts to trend the other way!

This has happened on more than one occasion on a Friday. My theory (and it's just that - a theory) is that some cases are put to one side throughout a week, because there's something in them that requires supervisor input. That happens on a single day, and results in a bunch of RFEs.

01/18/17 - I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX

01/25/17 - NOA1

05/05/17 - NOA2 (100 days from NOA1)

05/19/17 - NVC received and case number assigned

05/26/17 - Case left NVC, status 'In Transit'

05/30/17 - Medical

05/31/17 - Consulate received

07/13/17 - Interview, APPROVED!

07/21/17 - Visa in hand

07/22/17 - POE Newark, successful

08/02/17 - Married

08/23/17 - AOS filed (incl. EAD and AP)

08/31/17 - NOA1 date on AOS packet

09/21/17 - Biometrics appt

10/16/17 - Online tracker says 'Ready for Interview'

11/09/17 - EAD and AP approved

11/16/17 - EAD/AP combo card arrived

12/19/17 - Green card interview

12/22/17 - RFE received (medical had been lost)

01/23/18 - Green card in production

Hi all, so I wanted to let you all know about my conversation with USCIS on Friday. I decided to call again, after calling on Monday and feeling like I got the generic response of being within normal processing times. The phone rep transfered me to California office. So long story short, the rep in the California explained to me that after they receive an application, even the ones who transferred from the Texas processing center, that the individual files are sent local processing offices in the state that the applicant is from.  So basically delays have to do with the specific office/state an applicant is from and how fast the officers there are getting through their cases and what their workload looks like. So just because someone applied a month after you, got a response before you had to

do with the office and officer in the state that their applicant is in which is based on where they live. So basically, not all the applicantions are being processed in the one location of California. This is the first I am hearing about this, has anyone else been told this?

This I've never heard before and can't speak to it's accuracy, but thank you so much for reporting what you heard from them!!

The information you got is true for aos applications but not for i129f. All of them are adjudicated at the service center they were routed to. The uscis helpline is called the "misinformation line" here at vj, so... if you really want good info regarding your case you need to speak with a tier 2 officer
