And yet some of us like me are before you and still havent gotten anything. The lack of doing these cases in a logical order is maddening. Sitting here seeing people get approved in 90 days, 45 days, 50 days, even 110 days. Today is day 120 from the received day and have heard nothing while people 2 weeks after are getting notices. Grr.. And not to mention the great AkesAngel is MIA so my piece of mind knowing our progress in this process is gone. I sure look forward to his return.

You summed it up nicely, 113 days here, having no control is rough, and at the beginning it was easy

waiting because we knew it would be a long time, but now that we pass our VJC timeline by plenty, it is nothing but frustrating! Finish December before you go to January PLEASE!!!

Does anyone know how long it should take for the NVC to receive (and process) your visa after you get approved?

Once your petition has been approved it can take up to 6 weeks for the NVC to receive and "process" to give you a case number. NVC will forward your info to the beneficiary's consulate. You will not have a visa processed until after you are approved for your K-1 after the beneficiary attends the interview.

I get that but I wanted to know how long it's usually taking members to get their case numbers. No way it's taking 6 weeks for every case.

Ours took about 10 days to get there and get the case number. I started calling the second week into it. The people were friendly and quite helpful, but give the standard answer that it could take weeks...after that it flys!

Personally it took me two weeks to get my case number after my petition was approved. On here seems to be a 2-4 week window. Just saying it "could" take up to 6 weeks.

Thanks! So unfortunate that no December cases were processed today!

Presumably they are Jan/Feb cases: congratulations to them.

Are there still November leftovers? (I am just afraid of being December leftovers in a couple days.)

Must be the case: now I realized that it is only for December filers.

if you look back the previous data posted yesterday, you will find that the data on 4/12 from today's chart is messed up. there are still some December approvals. congrats. unfortunately I am not one of them. fingers crossed😓

I'll check it in the morning ... cannot be right they didn't touch any new december cases. Think I know what I've done wrong and will let you know it tomorrow. Seems I'm a little bit distracted for being with my fiance ;)

So I'm sorry for it, but also I am not. :P

So it is good for a month? I wasn't sure because he didn't get the email until after 5 yesterday so the doctor offices were closed. We picked the Toronto doctor (that's closest for him) and you email them with your interview date and date you would like exam and i guess they call him or email him with confirmation. Hopefully he hears from them today. A July wedding sounds very doable!! Good luck to you!

From the research I've done so far it appears that the medical exam is valid for up to a year, but may be shortened by certain existing conditions...that being said, maybe someone else on the VJ site has more input...but that's what I've read so far.

AkesAngel, I have to say props for being honest! I was laughing when I read your last line. Do not be sorry for whatever happened to the data scan. you are doing an invaluable service to all of us that can't figure out how to get the information you supply. It doesn't help that we are all sitting on pins and needles for your next scan. Go enjoy your time with your fiancé and have a very Happy Easter!

All the best, Jon & Malen
