I just checked every day at 6pm their time (or the morning after if I had gone to bed already). And I checked my number in the Excel file as well when it was posted here.

Just don't drive yourself nuts checking it multiple times a day, because what's after this uncontrollable wait? Exactly, another uncontrollable wait. And then yet another one.

(Rant not aimed at you personally, but just at the forum: )

I'm finally done with the nvc wait, and now I'm waiting on the embassy, who haven't sent me anything the past two weeks since they've received my case. I was hoping they'd be faster like they were for many others (1 week for the few who reported; 4 weeks for some others). And I'm in an apartment building where post often gets misplaced (I've gotten reminder bills for bills that were put in my mailbox 2 weeks after the reminder by another tenant who forgot to put it back), so I'm nervous about that as well. Am I waiting for something real, or for something in vain? Do I call now, or next week? (Not real questions, as I decided to give them 4 weeks to reach me.).

I hate the waiting. HATE it.

And luckily, I found a great job to occupy myself with in the meantime, because not working, drove me b4tsh1t insane.

I would refresh the USCIS site every hour. Sometimes more, but I don't want to sound like a lunatic. And right before I started working again, I got back my letter to obtain my (empty) criminal records with a "return to sender, no such address", and when I looked it up, it IS that address. I almost cried over nothing.

And then I started working, and I was no longer ruled by my hormones. Would recommend, 5/7.

Check my timeline. BXL embassy took about a month to send my fiance his packet, although I guess it depends on their workload. Although when I had called USCIS in mid-September (3 weeks before receiving the packet) they told us the embassy had already received the application. It just took a few weeks to go through their bureaucracy before sending everything out.

Also a tip from one Belgian applicant to another: when getting your medical exam from the panel physician (my fiance went to both the brussels and antwerp doctors and neither knew the process too well) make sure to request a copy of the vaccination form before he seals it up. Otherwise, you won't have a copy to include in your AOS application. Could have used that tip ourselves!

Thanks!

The doctors not being used to it, concerns me a bit, as I'm stressing a bit about that part.

Do I need a copy of my main medical records (cf to know what time I got my epilepsy etc?) And if not for the embassy, maybe for the AOS?

If I m looking at the "Notice Date,"  I have been wrong this whole time... We are not December 27th,  we are January 6th. WOOPS????

I was using the Received date Dec 27th, on the 197C NOA 1 ..I guess we are supposed to use the NOTICE DATE!!!

That said, our grouping in the updates is still Dec on the spreadsheets. 79015XXXX.  So I am a little confused again... Grrrr

The good news is if it is Jan 6th, no need to panic  Its now estimated April 7th - 12th.

For the VJ timeline they use the NOA1 "notice" date.  For the the scans that Geo and AkesAngel run those go by the NOA1 "receive date"  Hope that helps :) ....

Walt Disney World, in Orlando Florida is a place we hope to visit after she gets here to the USA!

Fun!!! I have told my fiance that we are going there as well!  I am originally from Alaska so I spent most of my younger years on the West coast and I have only been to Disneyland in CA.  I love Disney!

PS, You can fit all of Disneyland into jut the "parking lot" for EPCOT...

It's not a slam,  but most people in Cali have NO IDEA just how BIG Disney World and assorted parks are.

I've been to California Disney a few times, Hong Kong Disney, and many many many times to Florida Disney World, as well on the Disney Cruise line too.  (Yep an addict,  and been as a guest to "33"  too.)

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. Today is now day 106 since application was received. Starting to get stressed and frustrated when seeing others that have a received date after mine getting their approval. I have nothing against those that have a received date after mine and getting approved. Really though, I am happy for them. It would be nice if the service center could at least do this process in some sense of order instead of the way it is done now. I would think that there could be a way they could do the processing of the applications in some order of when received but then again I am talking about our illustrious government agencies at work here. Well, I'm just going to have to be patient as my time will come but patience is not my best virtue, LOL. This talking now about my patience has made me remember a cartoon from long ago and here it is. Hope you get a laugh from this.

You should go to Shanghai Disney since you're an addict. Supposed to be bigger than Disneyworld after expansion. The Tron Ride is quite incredible. Of course all the dialogue being in Chinese is quite a unique experience for Pirates of Caribbean.

I'm thinking take our kids too.. 15 and 13.

If we wait too much longer, they will not have a interest in everything as much!

Wow congrats. That's pretty quick. I checked my case today and it says it's in transit. It says something about NVC scheduling an interview for me. Did you receive anything from NVC
