It's good to call them at 7:00 Am to 8 : am and from 11:00 Pm to 12:00 midnight.

The guy at the NVC said you call in a week, because these days Idk why it takes longer for the USCIS to transfer the cases to the NVC!?

The NVC people all told me it could take up to 4 weeks for the application to get there.  That's why I called daily, because I didn't believe it could take that long. And yes, early morning I was able to get a person more easily. But like I said, my updates came after 9 pm. So I guess it's kind of a ####### shoot...just definitelydon't call during the middle of the day!

December 9th filer and still no NOA2, it is becoming very demoralizing waiting this long. I just came back from visiting my fiance and was hoping to get the good news while there but nothing. We are going on 4 months by this weekend. Any chance I should call USCIS? I keep seeing people way after us get approved...

When you recieved your case number , did your USCIS online status changed from CASE WAS APPROVED to CASE WAS SENT TO THE DEPARTMENT ????

That was my understanding as well, and may still be the case. I just got notification on the ceac site that says "ready" to make appointment.  I do have the packet 3 info ready to go though, as well as about 95 percent of the packet 4 done. We're getting as much done before had as possible to be ready when they say go.

Exciting. Good luck with the packet 3 and scheduling an appointment after that. I'm wonder what is the next available interview date at this time.

Since they are still working on December filler , I suggest to you still wait until the mid April.

then you start calling the USCIS to check about your case.

No, the status didn't change. I just started calling the NVC. One evening they said they had it, and the next even g they gave me the case number. I was able to track it from that point on at the ceac website.

Thanks! Yea, I don't know, but we're hoping for an early May...I think that's a little ambitious based on what I've seen, but that's what she wants. We are hoping for everything to be done before July.

Is any one who approved already recieved their Case number from the NVC ?

Do you know how long it would take from NOA2 to the NVC to assign a case number for you?

2-3 weeks usually I've seen on here!

Hi all! This is a potentially very silly question, but I get confused with all of the moving pieces in the later stages of this process. Once we receive the NOA2, should we fill out the DS 160 and prepare affidavit of support and other interview material? Are we only able to submit DS 160, pay visa fee, and schedule interview once the NVC receives our case from USCIS? Or do we have to wait even longer, until NVC receives our case and forwards it to our embassy in order to complete these steps?

Thanks so much in advance for the clarification. Good luck to everyone!

Ok guys I need some advice. I have moved last weekend, and I just got notice that our visa application is at the embassy. How do I go about changing my address? Will this mess with the application? Should I change it or wait till it's done and do it then? Thank you in advance for the info!
