I don't intent to mention it unless they ask, of course, but I have seen the case of many Brazilians that had they religious wedding in Brazil before they move to US and they had no problems at all. I have just one friend that said they gave her a bit of a had time on the interview for the green card, but she could prove that was not a legal wedding (though it was a big and beautiful wedding), so they understood it and approved her.

I would not do it.  Why?  Because they will feel your hiding something.. So what else could you be hiding? = RED FLAG

After the Trump win, they are looking at EVERYTHING.. which I am OK with,  it's needed!  I'm just stating the facts!  How anyone for whatever reason can argue its OK to let massive undocumented illegals into the USA when we file, and wait and do it legally and wait yet again, pay fees, wait and pray daily,  it's beyond me.

They are looking at everything! And FYI, I'm a deplorable, 55 year old white male, divorced, 2 kids, red hat wearing, happy with the choice who is in charge, I was looking for love, and found it,  now I am proud LEGALLY bringing her into the USA !  That's the way its supposed to be!

Is any one who approved already recieved their Case number from the NVC ?

Do you know how long it would take from NOA2 to the NVC to assign a case number for you?

Probably anywhere from 2-4 weeks. My NOA-2 was approved 3/17 and they don't have it yet.

Hey! We are still waiting for the NOA2, we got our NOA1 in December 16th.

I have one question .... maybe two. Well, when we were filling the k-1 petition, my fiancé was unemployed for a short time. Right   Now he is working as a T.A and by the next month he will start working in a hospital (as soon as he finish his undergrad by the next two weeks)... so, I would like to ask if he should send to the CSC (California service center) that kind of papers... showing that he is working and he will start working Somewhere else soon (job offer). I don't know why is taking so long for us... 💔😞

do you guys think it's taking longer because he wasn't working by the time we were filling the petition?

Sorry about my bad English 😅

When you file a K1 , they don't care whether you are working in a hospital or in a company.

they only thing they care is that you're relationship is true.

the only place that will look at the petitioner's incomes and money is the embassy where you will have you're interview.

so you don't need to send anything to the CSC , the K-1 takes 6-9 months, it's just a waiting game.

bottom Line: it's good for the petitioner to have a stable job , at least during the K1 process.

Maybe we should have attached the "sponsor" form with the first petition... but we thought it would be necessary just for the second part. After the NOA2

You are correct, you only need the affidavit of support for when you go to the interview. I don't think your fiancé being unemployed at the time of filing the I-129F is reason for a denial, but unless you get an RFE for that I don't think you can or need to send any additional evidence at this point.  They are working on the December cases slowly but surely. :)

Can you help clarify for the Canadian Embassy, at what stage are you able to submit the online Packet 3? My understanding is that this needs to submitted and approved prior to scheduling the appointment.

That was my understanding as well, and may still be the case. I just got notification on the ceac site that says "ready" to make appointment.  I do have the packet 3 info ready to go though, as well as about 95 percent of the packet 4 done. We're getting as much done before had as possible to be ready when they say go.

It's good to call them at 7:00 Am to 8 : am and from 11:00 Pm to 12:00 midnight.

The guy at the NVC said you call in a week, because these days Idk why it takes longer for the USCIS to transfer the cases to the NVC!?
