December folks I have a few questions, so bare with  me please.  I'm sure these questions have been asked and answered before, but if you can help me out I would appreciate it.

1.  Tracker app said "approved" on the 16th, anyone know how long after that a text confirmation comes?

2.  Everyone says call NVC about 2 weeks later for new case number.  Is this case # only to track the package from that point forward or do you need it to fill out DS160?

3.  Do we wait until Embassy receives package to fill out DS160 and pay for the visa?  Or can we fill it out after receiving case #?

1. From what I have heard most don't receive a confirmation text or email once your NOA-2 is approved. You will get that confirmation and what's next in the mail however.

2. Once you get that case number from the NVC believe that will track the case movement forward but that's fracked on a different site, not in the case tracker app. Not sure what site is will get it for you when I find it. But I think you can fill out DS 160 and save it as you go. Think you will need actual case number to fill it out completely

3. Not sure if it's the same for all embassy's so you may want to look at a thread on VJ specific to your embassy but seems the beneficiary will be mailed instructions on what to bring to actual interview and I think embassy dependamt you can either pay online or in person on that day. You will need to bring in electronic receipt signed from completed DS160 on the day of beneficiary's interview.

Hope this helps and congrats

It might take a week or two weeks for you to receive the text and later the hard copy of NOA2 by mail.

After you received the text then wait for a week and after a week you start calling to the NVC and ask them if they received your case already and if they said yes then ask them the case number # , after you get the case number, you track your case By entering your case # , if it's in Transit to the Local embassy, and when there's written Ready in the Tracker website , then you start filling your DS-160 and get an appointment for the medical exam.

Hello everyone and sorry if this question has recently been answered. I don't follow this thread. I got my NOA2 on March 7th and the last few business days we have tried calling the NVC without getting through. We use this number: 603-334-0700. A voice answers and says something like they're all busy right now but look forward to assisting us soon. Then it just hangs up instead of putting us on hold to wait for a representative. Does this happen to anyone else? Are we calling the wrong number? Thanks in advance <3

Hi Eluniya

I called NVC this morning at 7am EST that would be 12pm in Sweden and I got through after my second try. I called and was on hold for 5 minutes and I hung up and called back before getting through to a nice lady who said my case had not arrived. Try calling between 7-10 am and 8pm-12am EST.  The number you called is for Immigrant Visa applications, I called 603-334-0888 which is the number for Non Immigrant visas which K1 is.

Seems the range is 10-14 business days before the NVC receives your case.

Yeah they hadn't received mine yet either. The lady said "it can take up to 6 weeks for us to receive it". That seems like a really long time for a document to go from CSC to the NVC...
