After 191 days of waiting, we are finally approved!  While it seems that I am behind most of you, at least it is our turn! :energy:

Oh what a feeling!

Congrats and good luck for your interview. You are done with the most frustrating part of the process. :)

Thanks!

It was only the online tracker that was updated to "Approved". This happened on the second day since I sent the online enquiry. Hope you will hear from them soon!!!

I have my medical in Melbourne today. Soooo nervous. Interview is in Sydney on the 25th.

For those who've done the medical is there anything i need to prepare myself for? I get worked up about doctor appts at the best of times. :/

Commenting to follow- my fiancé is in Melbourne as well. How did you go about scheduling the interview? We emailed our info to the email address provided, but haven't heard back yet.

Also, how long did you have to wait for an interview date? Did it leave enough time for you to schedule the medical exam beforehand, or was that a hassle?

Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much!!

After i did my DS160 and paid the fee i emailed my confirmation number, case number and a pdf copy of the receipt to support-australia@ustraveldocs.com  . I never heard anything from the embassy at all until I did that.

Got confirmation they received it straight away and was given an interview date a few days later. The interview was scheduled about 6 weeks ahead? So plenty of time to organise the medical.

I actually live in Tasmania so was really relieved to have time to schedule flights and stuff as well. I'm doing mine in Toorak.

Feel free to pm if need anything. I can let you know how medical goes?

So they need a more detailed letter from my GP about previous depression and hospitalization. Everyone told me it would be fine. But of course they want more. It was 5 years ago. So worried is going to end up screwing us over. :(

It will be fine. They just want to make sure you're not a threat to yourself or others. Once they get the letter from your GP, you should be able to go ahead with the process without any hassle. Good luck!! :)

I'm sorry!! :( How did it go otherwise? And yes, any updates you have as you go would be great! Did you have to wait 6 weeks or was that the first available date?
