I had my interview today and got approved. The interview only took 15 minutes.  I was little worried because I only took 4 photos and everyone else had whole photo album with them.

7 months of this exhausting  process, hundreds of documents, frustrating calls to uscis, all the worries, anxiety,  and it all came down to 15 minutes. :D

So relieved and excited right now. :) The moment CO said, "your visa is approved", phew that feeling is indescribable.

All the best to everyone who are still waiting for interview and medical. You will get through it and be with your love soon. :)

Congratulations!

HI Roger. I did it through E-census. It only took two weeks to deliver from Philippines to Singapore. I used my credit card and didn't have any issues. I had a problem setting up the FedEx account and decided to take our chances with Philpost delivery and it was fine. Malen got the last piece of the puzzle today. She had her fingerprints taken and got her Singapore certificate of clearance after waiting for five minutes. Only thing left is the Interview on July 11th!!! If I can help any way just send me a message.

God bless, Jon & Malen.

Cenomar arrived last night.  (my time)

So on the the Police Clearance July 5th, d160, medical,  then Interview, then here!!!

I would like to ask if someone has the same experience at the port of entry for K1/K2 the CPB officer took our visa packets and not returning it to us saying they will have it and they will process it.Please advice if this is normal and i dont need those packets anymore .As i see some people post saying that the visa packets returned to them after it was been checked by the CPB officer during entry.

Aloha! 🌺🌴

Port Of Entry (POE) done last June 23!

Today marks our 1st awesome week here in Honolulu, Hawaii. 🏝

I would like to send my warmest THANKS to you my VJ family for making this "exactly 5months-and-2weeks" initial fiance visa journey from Appln filing to POE a whole lot easier.

Now off we go for the 2nd phase — AOS! 👍

God bless everyone, and here sends our prayers and well wishes to all those who are still on the wait. Hang in there!Yours is next!

Aloha!!! 😘🌴🌺🌻

Woohoo! Congrats Aloha Destiny! Malen's interview is on July 11th and we have everything either at the embassy or in hand. How was your experience coming through the POE? Were the immigration officers nice and used to K-1 fiancés? Just curious how long it took to get through and if they were cool. Again congrats and God bless, Jon & Malen

Okay I finally made it to the U.S.

I am living now with my fiace and everything seems good. My POE was JFK (NY) and it was a weird experience. Very different to my previous entries in the country. He never asked me a thing. Just scanned my fingers and my eyes. Then when other officer was coming by he handed my papers to him and said K1.  They asked me to follow him. I sat in some chairs a bit terrified thinking there was something wrong. Then other guy just stamped something on my papers and gave me my passport back. They didn't say why it was that. Or what it was for.  I found it very sketchy but they let me in.

I am now preparing the wedding and today we are getting our marriage license.

Do I have to get the SSN before getting married or after???  I want to take his last name

Hi, Is it normal for visa to go through administrative processing and how long does it stay there? I been reading on VJ and it seem it can get stuck there for months. I know I'm being paranoid  because I got a slip saying I was approved but I thought only visa with some issue go through AP.

Welcome to the states :). While it is recommended that you get your SSN first you don't have to. If you are taking his last name and you get your SSN 1st you will just have to go back to SSA office to get it updated with name as it is on marriage certificate. You can call local SSA office to see if they show you win the system. IIRC some have reported that they show in the system instantly with I-94's being electronic but with anything YMMV.

Have seen some take days and some weeks. So it seems to vary depending on what is triggering the AP status. Maybe background check?
