I have no idea why some cases are taking longer than others to reach the consulate. I just found out that although my status changed to READY 2 days after "leaving" NVC that was just the embassy receiving the electronic version. Our hardcopy case finally got to there sometime last week, 4 weeks after CEAC tracker said it left NVC.

we have sent an email to the embassy yesterday and they said they havent received it yet.

i called nvc and they said to just wait.

We are waiting as well. NVC received our case on June 7, still waiting for the embassy number to track on CEAC.

we have our case number last May1 and it was sent by nvc to the consulate last 4 may, and up to now no update still.

Hi guys,

it has been 1 month and 12 days since our case recieved by the consulate.

but I am still waiting for my Packet 3/4 since then.

i don't know why it's taking so long for the Embassy to send me the packet 3/4!?

i sent them twice emails and they responded that when we open your case will send you in shortly.

but it's taking forever 😞

Plus the CEAC keeps updating but the same "READY".

is this mean the consulate working on our case or what?

TIA!

Hi for us we received our packet 3 (email) after we paid for the interview/finger printing and scheduled medical.

Not sure if embassy's in different location did things different. When I read on the case tracker listing READY I just assumed I should pay and schedule.

You may want to consider that as well. From what I have also read is that you should be able to get a copy of the packet 3 at the embassy the day of the interview in case it wasn't sent.

Hello everyone. It has been awhile since being on this tread but have been busy helping my fiancée getting ready for interview. To bring up to date on what has happened application got to Manila embassy in early May. She never did receive any kind of packet or notification from the embassy of them receiving the application. But no matter she was really busy after that getting all the required papers collected for the interview. On June 15 and 16 took her medical at St. Lukes and passed her medical. We had already scheduled her interview before the medical for June 22. Had her interview and was approved for the visa but the visa is on hold pending the embassy receive a police clearance from Qatar. We knew going into the interview that she was going to be needing the police clearance but we took our chances. The police clearance is in the works now and was in the works before she went to the interview. So now we are in limbo waiting for the police clearance from Qatar and hoping that it will not take the 2 to 3 months they say it could take. When we requested the police clearance we went through the Qatar embassy in Manila and hoping by doing that it might not take as long. So now everything is finished and can really relax. Just the wait for the police clearance, submit that to the embassy and receive her visa and we will be together again. Thanks to everyone here for their support and help when it was needed.

Great, all the best ! Hoping the police clearance come as quickly as possible.

My fiancé and I had our interview as well , June 8th and we were Approved, Just waiting on the visa to arrive.

How did it work out with the passport? Did you have to travel back home then organize to have it sent back to the embassy (assuming you don't live in Barbados)?

Hi,

How recent does the Police report need to be?  My fiancés has a police report from March of this year. His interview date is at the beginning of August.

Would the current one work or would he need a new one?

Depends, in Mexico I've seen some Police records that expires within a month, then the FGJ (Fiscalia General de Justicia) doesn't guarantee the record of the person. It's even written in the document.

That's true, but not sure if it applies for the visa. I mean, when I got my police records the lady told me it was good for three months, so it might be soon... I told her the USEM website states it has to be non older than 1 year, which is something I've seen at least on the websites of another couple of countries, so maybe it's their general rule. So the lady said then it would be perfect, since we were going by what they say.

They will give you back your passport, cancel any previous visas you may had , & you"ll received a green slip ( the approval slip) with instructions to enclose the slip along with your passport & a pre paid courier airway bill and mailer for delivery of your passport & visa back to you.

We are 100% frustrated.

Someone at the NVC assigned our case to the wrong embassy. We've filed to possibly have it switched to the embassy of residence, not embassy of birth, and now it's stating there could be a 2 to 5 month wait, IF accepted. This is a complete downer. :(
