Update- We received our case number yesterday, morning  when I checked it said In transit (Indian standard time)  and in evening, the status is Ready. So I guess there is only delay until we receive case number from NVC

K1 does not follow the 6 steps! You wait until it says ready then schedule your appointment online. (depending on your country of course)

Thank you. It already changed to Ready.  I guess the next step is to fill up DS 160 and schedule interview. Right?

Correct! Obviously, India is a bit different from the Philippines, but that part is definitely the same.

Have you done the medical yet? Usually, you schedule the interview and then do the medical, but that's different country to country.

No, I have not yet. Actually, I have to travel to another state to get it done. I'll first schedule the interview and then try to do medical around that time if it's possible, so I don't have to travel twice .

Sounds like a plan! Hope it all works out!

Is anyone also here had the same case that they did not receive the hardcopy from the Philippines US Embassy till the interview appointment date?

What letter are you talking about? You get the NVC case number by phone. Then you schedule your interview and do the medical.

The good news... everything is going to be done online from now on to the HK embassy direct electronically.

The bad. We're still waiting but told tonight that everything I sent in before will be all scanned in by Wednesday next week!

Apparantly the medical and the interview are sped way up faster,  so she will be here soon!

1 for English now option 5 for us to use now.

Anyone else fo go through this way?
