The DS160 applies to the beneficiary. It can be filled for any of you, as long as the info is accurate and the beneficiary is the one that has to finally sign it (electronically).

Not entirely correct. The beneficiary MUST be the one to sign it (submit).

Only exception is if the beneficiary has a some kind of disability and can't reasonably complete it themselves.

Our NOA2 is finally approved - May 24, 2017. The USCIS site doesn't show it, the attorney received the letter this morning. Cross your fingers in hopes that the other items roll through quickly.

Congrats. I am still waiting...

Now that we're approved, they only gave us until September 23, 2017 to get the interview and marry. Why is the time so short? I'm concerned because we hear interviews in our area are hard to get.

Don't worry to much about the expiration date on the NOA2 letter. As long as you schedule your interview and have the medical exam done before that date, you should be alright. You certainly do no need to marry by that date. You have 90 days from the day you or the beneficiary enter the US to get married.

You likely will be able to schedule an interview before September, and if indeed the embassy is extremely busy with interviews, I believe the NVC or USCIS can extend your NOA2 expiration date.

Does anyone know how to go about getting logs of FaceTime calls? Trying to accumulate some evidence of continued relationship since our initial petition and since we're not big emailers or social media people I'm kind of running out of ideas of what to provide.

Thanks for any help!

Hello there. If our number isn't list here, what does that mean? In the series, the numbers before and after ours are list.

I wish I could tell you what that means, but I honestly do not know. I know there are some glitches showing up in the system, most often with dates clearly out of order (listed for having occurred when the date is still in the future, etc.) Perhaps your number is not there due to a glitch, but I cannot be sure. Did your number show up on the previous scans, and just not this one?

Thank you. We were approved; we found out today. :D I guess it means the case has moved on to the next step.

How did you all get your medical envelope immediately?

I was told at the medical center to reschedule my visa interview at the embassy (which was a week later), because the blood and urine results would take exactly 2 weeks to come back from the lab (so tomorrow for me).

The doctor was angry that the embassy didn't leave 2 weeks in between "because they damn well know it takes 2 weeks!".

(I think that's actually my fault, as packet 3 read among other requirements that you needed to have scheduled a medical interview. But it could be read as "once you've had your medical" as well.)

I was quite disappointed. Luckily, it's been rescheduled for the 6th of June, so that's not too far away. I already booked a flight for end of June, so calculating in an extra month for everything, wasn't a bad idea after all.

If anyone from Belgium reads this:

They send you packet 3 by regular mail. It takes a few weeks. You then schedule that exact date and time, and pay for the ds160. They say Visa or MasterCard works, but it likely doesn't, so keep in mind that you might have to pay (online) through deposit. Payment goes through very fast.

Once you've sent back packet 3, packet 4 arrives in your email with an appointment date (it took 2 days for me. 1,5 really).

If you need to reschedule, just send them an email and they'll reschedule within 2 days. Please be nice as you'll notice they're not supposed to do it that way (says so in the automatic reply you'll receive).

Brussels appointments for medicals seems to be every Tuesday (before and behind me were someone going to Canada and someone to Australia). Call for an appointment, and clearly state which country you need it for when you say you need a medical for a Visa.

The Centre is easily found and very accessible by buses and trains.

Pay in cash because they have to split the money over the external lab etc (so paying with Visa is useless to them). It doesn't take long (20 minutes for x-ray and 30 minutes waiting for the doctor and 20 minutes inside) but you can definitely come earlier and cut in line for the lung check!

Don't pee right before as they need a urine sample (I made that mistake and had to wait until I could pee. Awkward.). There's a toilet downstairs, the desk ladies are super nice (and speak French, English, Dutch). Doctor is extremely nice, and he knows exactly how the American process goes, so don't worry. He speaks French and English (no Dutch). Have your regular doctor already print out your vaccinations and check what you need, and he will be very happy. If you have anything on the list of diseases/... you filled in, make sure to have original and translated document stating that it does not prohibit you from leading a normal life (I have epilepsy, and he just needed the latest statement that I'm reacting fine to my meds). He suggested adding the translation to the medical envelope myself (so I have hope they will seal it later, but I will have to check).

He fills in everything later, so there's no way you can get it that day. Plus, the blood test takes two weeks. You'll have to pick up the results there yourself, two weeks later.

I'll update this if they sealed the envelope already before I was able to get a copy of the vaccination stuff.

Make sure to ask the doctor to make a copy of DS-3025 before he seals the envelope. My fiance picked up the packet himself, so you can do that and request a copy of the results at that time.
