Hi everyone! My case went from at NVC last night to ready this morning. I called NVC yesterday to see why my case was still there and apparently they forgot to update that my case left the NVC last week. So keep calling NVC if you have your NVC case number to make sure they send your file to your embassy.

We're still hanging out with you...Received December 6. No NOA2, no RFE. One response from USCIS saying our case was assigned to an officer and is under review, and we should be seeing a response "soon." That was early last week, so I'm guessing that means they've put it in an officers box, where it will sit until someone feels like looking at it. We've tried the congressman route too and so far the office hasn't even bothered to reply to our inquiry. Basically, what we're learning is that there's no real way to hold anyone accountable in this process.

hopefully we hear something this week, havent heard anything from my congressional inquiry as well. good luck!

U.S. Department of State
IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION

At NVC

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.

This is my status... Do I need to do the six steps now? or once it says "READY" ????

Hey guys any chance the scans are coming out? I asked @geowrian for the instructions and can start doing them if others arent able to.

I am not sure the scans are helpful anymore, since the web site isnt getting updated.

You don't do the 6 steps. It doesn't apply to k1 visa

So we finally moved to schedule our interview, and I was really hopeful I could do it within one week, Oh boy I was so wrong.

Turns out the closest date for interview is next Month on the 19th, My fiancé was supposed to send me the affidavit of support along with all the documents tomorrow (cause we were hopeful we would get the interview for next week), but now we are unsure.  Should the affidavit include a recent information? Should my fiancé wait until the date gets closer to send the documents and re.do everything, like his employment letter, i-134 etc?

We are so sad and angry at the same time. We never expected to have to wait this long just for an interview.

I know we had a RFE but come on.... Really? You have had it mailed back certified mail so I know you have it.. and said so May 3rd.  It was only for pictures and a letter of intent.

Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received

On May 3, 2017, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E),

I keep saying too...

Hi Roger & Grace!

You and I have the same RFE response receive date. Today my fiance got the NOA by mail dated May 11. Hang in there! :)

No, you can send the documents now. My employer letter was dated 1 month before the interview day. Just make sure the signature on the affidavit of support is original and does not look like a copy so sign hard so it can leave like indentation on the back of the paper.

Good luck on the interview.

You know that the nbi gets a hit alot because of the purpose of travel abroad. Usually they want to double check people who are leaving the country.

You could have easily gotten it earlier, but just wanted to prepare you. I know my fiance had to wait like 3 weeks for her NBI and she definitely has no record.

WOOOHOOOO!!!! Malens mother got the NBI in thirty minutes. Photo, stamped, on official paper and all. It says No derogatory record!!!  it's very hard to get an NBI from abroad if you can't get to the embassy during the weekday to have your finger prints done by a cosular employee.  Malen only has Sunday's off until two weeks ago when she did have One day during the week. Now just a little while ago I went to apply for the Cenomar and the person on the helpline told me that they don't offer delivery internationally. The Embassy won't accept one from the beneficiary if she brings it in I believe. I emailed the embassy and we will see what they have to say.
