Definitely try entering your case number under Immigrant. That's where my tracking status showed up.

Thank you for replying. I am checking it under non-immigrant. I called NVC again to verify my case number and its correct.  I told the rep what was happening and he said the embassy will be in touch and not to start the ds-160 yet??  I just need to know when the embassy has received my case so I can e-mail them for packet 3.  wow this means I'm going to have to call NVC to find out if it left already.

No you check your case in CEAC under immigration visa and it will show up your status .

if it says at NVC , it means it's still at NVC.

if it says In transit it means your case is on its way towards the embassy .

if it says Ready then it means your case is ready for you to schedule your interview and fill the Ds-160.

but you have to check it with the US embassy  in the beneficiary's country if you can schedule your interveiw yourself with out the embassy sending you the checklist or any instruction.

Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received

On May 3, 2017, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E),

Does anyone know how many December cases are untouched yet? I'm starting to get really worried now.

We been in long distance for three years and now when we thought, we only have to wait few more months, it's really frustrating to not have any response in 5 months.

We're still hanging out with you...Received December 6. No NOA2, no RFE. One response from USCIS saying our case was assigned to an officer and is under review, and we should be seeing a response "soon." That was early last week, so I'm guessing that means they've put it in an officers box, where it will sit until someone feels like looking at it. We've tried the congressman route too and so far the office hasn't even bothered to reply to our inquiry. Basically, what we're learning is that there's no real way to hold anyone accountable in this process.

December 1, 2016: Mailed I-129F

December 6, 2016: Case Received

December 9, 2016: Notified by email

December 11, 2016: NOA1 By Mail

December 11, 2016 - June 3, 2017: Waited and waited and waited, called, yelled, demanded answers. :-P

May 31, 2017: I-129F Approved

June 3, 2017: NOA2 by email

June 19, 2017: Called and received case number from NVC

June 21, 2017: Case received by consulate in South Africa.

We got our approval notice last Friday, May 12. How ever online still showing that our case was received.

we will start calling NVC on wednesday May 17, or should we wait for our online status to update first before we call them?

We got our approval letter today after some 140 days. Its really frustrating to wait and have no control but hold on. It might be sooner than you expect.

HI everyone. Just thought id stop by to update our status. This evening I checked with NVC and our status has changed from "at NVC" to "IN TRANSIT!!" I hope it comes fast because of all of the stress my bride is feeling a little bit rocky these past two days. She knows that once the packet gets there then things are getting very real and that our dreams are getting closer to reality. Her mother is going to get her NBI and Cenomar tomorrow, God Willing no hits. The next hurdle is that she looked at her birth certificate anbd it has a typo aand her last name on the cert ends in AN not AM Like it's supposed to. She has a Philippines passport and other ids so she can prove who she is. She went thru the whole process to fix her typos and had an affidavit of correction and a supplemental report to prove it. The only problem is that she left it at her mother's house for safe keeping the only problem is that Mommy's house burns red to the ground. I'm hoping we can get everything straightened out and that everyone else's applications are approved very soon! God bless everyone! Sending our best wishes to all,

Jon  & Malen

You know that the nbi gets a hit alot because of the purpose of travel abroad. Usually they want to double check people who are leaving the country.

You could have easily gotten it earlier, but just wanted to prepare you. I know my fiance had to wait like 3 weeks for her NBI and she definitely has no record.

It's a dumb question but all the documents which they require once the case is assigned to the US embassy, do I need to post them or do I have to carry them to the interview?
