Try living in Manitoba and having to go for the medical and interview. :( I am going to go to Montreal for my medical and stay a week and then have my interview if I can work it out that way. Apparently 11 years ago my friend in St. thomas, Ont only had to go to London, Ont for his medical. :o

Ouch!! Yeah they need more options for sure! He used to live in Alberta but moved to Windsor to be closer to me for this whole process or he would have that ridiculous flight to Montreal too. Thankfully were driving.

My fiance has to travel 15 hours each way to get her medical and do the interview and everything. She even has to travel to pay the k1 fee because they don't have the bank she has to go to where she lives.

Luckily, she has family in Manila she can stay with.

At least you got it done!

15 hours omg 😐

So we're one of those 'waaaaaaaay past the normal processing' time couples (December 6 received / December 9 NOA1), and I've tried a couple of options to contact and gather information, including emailing USCIS and contacting my congressman (last week). Today we FINALLY got a reply from USCIS to the email I sent way back on May 1. I'm not sure if they just got around to it, or if the congressman put in an inquiry, but here's what it reads:

"Thank you for your inquiry. According to our records, your petition is assigned to an officer and under review. While we are unable to give you a specific date by which a decision will be rendered in your case, you can expect to receive a Notice of Action* soon."

The rest is just official stuff. Anyone else receive a reply like this? I'm guessing this is a canned response, but I'm hoping it means our case is at least not lost in the bottom of a box somewhere.

It is same with me. We applied on 12/22 and the status still say "case received" and everytime we call they say they have a back log and they are still processing Nov files. It is starting to get really frustrating. Every day I get up to check the status and my heart sink to see no update. I hope we get a response soon.

Will someone please run another scan for us, so we can see if anything is happening?  Last week it appeared almost no visas were approved.  It would be so helpful if we could see some progress.  Thanks!!!

Hello All,

Just thought I would share my journey since I too am a December filer :D applying for my Fiance in Macedonia. I was hoping to see if some one else got a RFE request and is still waiting.

Filed I129-F: December 20th 2016

I129-F Received: December 27th 2016

My Notice Date: January 6th 2017

- waited 4 months .... crickets -

Received Request for Evidence: April 20th 2017 (notice date aka when they sent it April 14th 2017, with an Alien Number)

Sent RFE express received and notified: April 24th 2017 (they wanted us to send two passport photos of each of us taken in the past 30 days)

Right now I'm still waiting for the response to the RFE its been 2 weeks exactly on to the third week. Did anyone else receive a RFE around the same time frame and hear back already?

happy to answer any questions about my case :jest:

How long did your medical take at SLEC? Did your medical take the 2 days that as stated for the length of time for the medical?

Only one day. I was there 3am, I got the number 1 queue 🤣🤣🤣

I finished all the medical proccess around 9am, then was asked if I wanna wait for the result that day. I sais Yes. Then I came back at SLEC around 1pm, had my vaccines, then wait for the result. I got it at 3pm 😀

I completely agree with @mrmrsVang

PH fiance(e)s only: I just did my medical last Monday and I got there at 4am. I was already lucky #22. Finished it all in Day 1, and the nurse who did my vaccines told me in secrecy that they're allowing the first 30 early-birds to be done in a single day only, if results came out just fine. He hurt both of my arms, so I'm not sure how much I'd trust the guy. Lol ;)

The nurse said you can even have the interview the day after you've completed the medical. They'll give you the sealed envelope to take to the embassy anyway. Not doing the interview until June though. Personal preference.

Yes, here is the most recent data as of today, 5/9/3017 at 1930 hours. I was extremely busy today and the internet here was very slow, but it's done. I will be doing it every day, though, so don't worry. Another scan will be done tomorrow and every day.

Scan Document for 5/9/2017 at 1200: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yNGXybt5O5FTDwXfXEIPBGaD5u3LA-wzWCj5wkrwtxs/edit?usp=sharing

December Cases Untouched as of 5/9/2017 at 1200: 276

Cases Touched on 5/8: 58
Approvals: 10
RFEs: 6

Other: 42

Because my internet was so slow and the scan didn't finish until late, I can speak to some of today's data and say that there has been some action so far today, as well, with one approval and maybe a couple dozen RFEs. I'll post today's full data tomorrow when the rest has come in.

So, all in all, the news is better today and yesterday than last week. I hope you guys are all having a great week so far, and that everything is moving along really well with your visas. To everyone who is having to wait longer, hang in there. I'm in the same boat; We're in this together.

The clinic opens at 4:30am. The guard would inspect documents if they're complete then assigns the number. They started at exactly 5:30am
