In 3 to 4 days your status will change to Reday for Philippines.

Awesome thanks! So I don't need to pay the fee yet for the interview right? Just print off the ready part then do the medical first?

Yes, You can do medical first. 😀 just print your case status like the picture attached. Bring it to the SLEC along with the other requirements for medical 👍

Yes you just print the Ready then gather all your documents for medical and you will be able to schedule your medical.

Then pay the fee and schedule your interview as well.

Wow what a joke the medical was. Had to drive 4 hours to Toronto because that was closest approved immigration medical doctor and the doctor made my fiance weigh and measure HIMSELF, asked him if he was sick, if he had ever been arrested for drugs or alcohol, handed him a form to go across hall for xray and a cup to go across street to lab for pee test and blood work and that was all! I can't believe there has to be specific doctors to go to and closest one was 4 hours just for that! Next up we have 9 hour drive to consulate for interview next week!

I know what you mean! My Fiancé and her girls went to the one in Surrey as its closer to her...but it was almost the same experience! They did an eye exam as well, and both my fiancé and her oldest failed the letters portion, but the doctor said it was perfect! A complete joke! I mean I am glad that they are making the paperwork good for the interview, but come on...that much money for three exams, and its a complete farce. it makes the whole process seem like nothing more than a cash grab!

Good luck with the interview next week! Ours is at the end of the month...so excited!

You won't get notified when they receive it. You will have to call them to get your case number.

He didn't get an eye exam even lol! But yeah the cost is ridiculous. Good luck to you too! His is the 24th actually, not next week. I keep thinking it's next week. Other thing was had to pay $50 for courier service to send the medical results to him by next week. I was going to ask if we could just pick it up on the way to interview since its kind of on the way but decided to just forget it and let them mail it. I hate getting tangled up in Toronto traffic.

Awesome, ours is on the 29th! My ladies are flying down two days before so they explore Montreal a bit before the interview.  They are so nervous, and don't know what to expect! I've heard the Toronto traffic can be a real bear!  I deal with LA traffic quite a bit so I feel you on that one! Lol!

Try living in Manitoba and having to go for the medical and interview. :( I am going to go to Montreal for my medical and stay a week and then have my interview if I can work it out that way. Apparently 11 years ago my friend in St. thomas, Ont only had to go to London, Ont for his medical. :o

My fiance has to travel 15 hours each way to get her medical and do the interview and everything. She even has to travel to pay the k1 fee because they don't have the bank she has to go to where she lives.

Luckily, she has family in Manila she can stay with.

At least you got it done!

So we're one of those 'waaaaaaaay past the normal processing' time couples (December 6 received / December 9 NOA1), and I've tried a couple of options to contact and gather information, including emailing USCIS and contacting my congressman (last week). Today we FINALLY got a reply from USCIS to the email I sent way back on May 1. I'm not sure if they just got around to it, or if the congressman put in an inquiry, but here's what it reads:

"Thank you for your inquiry. According to our records, your petition is assigned to an officer and under review. While we are unable to give you a specific date by which a decision will be rendered in your case, you can expect to receive a Notice of Action* soon."

The rest is just official stuff. Anyone else receive a reply like this? I'm guessing this is a canned response, but I'm hoping it means our case is at least not lost in the bottom of a box somewhere.

December 1, 2016: Mailed I-129F

December 6, 2016: Case Received

December 9, 2016: Notified by email

December 11, 2016: NOA1 By Mail

December 11, 2016 - June 3, 2017: Waited and waited and waited, called, yelled, demanded answers. :-P

May 31, 2017: I-129F Approved

June 3, 2017: NOA2 by email

June 19, 2017: Called and received case number from NVC

June 21, 2017: Case received by consulate in South Africa.

I got that same response but when I spoke to the tier 2 officer over the phone. I don't think it has to do with the congressional inquiry.

Gotcha. The timing just seemed weird. Guess it was just a coincidence. You're still waiting too, right?
