K1 Interview tips

After reading so many posts, it seems like in most cases, no matter how much evidence of relationship you give them, they gonna ask for more. I dont understand why is that, why tons of evidence it seems never enough??

Me and my fiance we were living together and we were both busy with work, we were also not into selfies and photo, so we have probably 50 photos together during 2 years that we took with mobile phone for some occasions. We did one trip in hua hin end even there we took few selfies and same in pattaya.

Other than that, we have skype log, we call each other every day, fb history and few emails, and one ticket for concert, some emails, some letters from our mom saying how happy she is for us, paypal receipt for birthday gift, his thai work permit, passport pages showing we were both living in thailand. Also if needed, I can ask concierge and friends to testify they knew and saw us living together,

Do you recommend me to give them like 80% of evidence at interview and then if they want more, send the rest? since we don't have a crazy amount of evidence..

My husband and I are like that too with taking pics hahaha I love photography so I just try to get pictures of him when I feel he's accidentally posing. I'm sure he's like, "whyyyy!" lolol Anyway, in our situation (I-130 Marriage),we sent marriage certificate, developed all the photos we did have together (and any that had mutual friends and family with us), facebook statuses with the other tagged showing the number of people liking it (showing we are public about our relationship), and any paperwork that had both our names on it (there was like...one (bank)! haaa).Then, when he went to the interview, they asked him for the same pictures. So just in case, develop the pictures twice hahah I happened to just tell him to bring the pictures. They actually asked him for them! All this other proof you have, feel free to add it to the send pile. Anything you don't add, just be ready with it for the "bring to interview pile". It's better to have too much.

My fiance and I only met once, we have quite a few photos but I really did take time to screen shot our FaceTime moments. The CO still insisted that the pile of evidences should be thicker than it was, so what I did is I explained how our hours with each other is spent and how much time we take every day to actually text and FT one another. We had a long discussion about it and after not changing my story, and standing with the truth I have. He just changed the topic and we talked about how me and my husband share the love for Game of Thrones, which is the same with the CO. So we talked a lil bit about it too.

The thing is, JUST BE CALM AND TELL THE TRUTH ALWAYS. It will always depend on the CO that you will have, some is strict and some are really not that strict. You just have to be confident enough to answer all the questions. Always smile.

guys, do you recommend me to move my case to paris instead of bangkok, where they treat french citizens without this unnecessary suspicion and where nothing unjust will happen to us? in france they also are more considerate about financial situation (my fiance just started to make decent money but very recently, here in thailand they would probably use it to refuse us)

i really will die if my visa will be rejected and i wont see my fiance anytime soon. because we are already apart for more than 8 months (thanks to USCIS who stupidly lost our approved case for 3 months! )

you see, here in thailand couples are literally spamming fb walls with thousands of pictures, selfies, sweet cheesy stuff etc.. and we both are mature and this mentality and infantile behaviour wont be natural for us, amount of pictures doesn't matter to us, still in the eyes of CO that would make our relationship less valid, so im not sure if i should move my case to another embassy

Not well. Self earned income was considered as no income at all

CO asked to show $100K which is impossible for us Cz I don't want to sell my property. Moving my case to France

Really sorry to hear that. I thought the I-134 had a provision to cover self-employed folks? At any rate, I hope you have better luck in France.

we have our k1 interview in BKK next monday the 27th. we would appreciate any tips from folks that have been there lately. nervous and excited.

no reason to be nervous. Before talking to CO, the girl will pre-check all documents and you can ask her questions.

just prepare your financial info well, BKK embassy is very picky about it, that's all

they wasn't picky about proof of relationship when i was there, i saw one girl came with only 2 photos and got her visa

How did you interview go? My fiancée has her interview on Thursday? Anything difficult or unusual from it?

She was not told yes or no. Some applicants were told yes and some were not. They kept her passport and said to wait for the postmaster to deliver it so we think that we were approved. She actually had two interviews. First one by a Thai lady that checked all documents and asked her many questions. Second interview by CO and only asked three easy questions in English. We wish you the best of luck.

Thanks a bunch, I hope that it goes easily for my fiancée as well. She has the added wrinkle that she is Vietnamese living in Thailand. So it will be interesting. It sounds to me like you got approved. Congratulations!

Approved on the 27th and received passport with visa on the 29th.
