06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Just wondering if most people used an attorney for these forms?

I'm very nervous about the whole process and wondering if it's a good idea to spend the money to make sure it's done correctly....with possible RFEs and the interview prep?

My now spouse came on a B2 visa... So I'm a bit worried of it being rejected. Trying to stay positive!

You can do this yourself, no need for a lawyer. FYI: Many post of attorneys making mistakes resulting in RFE's.

As for the interview, short, straight to the point TRUTHFUL answers, & make sure you know all about your spouse, then you have no worries in interview.

Delivered: Sept. 15th 2016 to Chicago Lock Box

Interview Feb  21st, 2018 for I-485

Interview  May 13th, 2019 for I-130 Stokes interview ( 2 minutes)

NOID issued May 17th 2019

June 5th,2019   USCIS received my response on the  NOID// Addressed the NOID myself, No lawyer ever used in case.

July 1st, 2019  10 YEAR GREEN CARD APPROVED

July 5th, 2019   Approval letters for I-130 & I-485 received in the USPS  mail.

July 11th 2019   Green Card in Hand

Did you include a lot of proof of "legitimate" marriage? It's so new that I'm afraid we don't have enough at the present time. Minus typical pictures, wedding cards, checking account.... Not easy to do stuff with no social security number. I'm a little nervous because it's a B2 Visa and not a K1

The I-130 instructions ask for at least one piece of evidence for proof of bona fide marriage. Follow the instructions to a T. Don't fall for silly lawyer advice. They want you to think that there is special "secret" info when there is not.

I filed the day after our wedding and we only had affidavits, fulfilling the instructions requirements.

I guess what I'm confused about is if we submit pictures and that type of "evidence" now, or do we wait until an interview?

The answer you seek is in the form instructions. Have you found those? They are separate from the forms themselves.

Who says they are?

A lot of people probably do it. You could say it is a part of "other evidence of a bona fide marriage". But others follow the instructions, pick something on their list, and do not send additional photos. I did not send any photos (except the required passport photos).

On the interview letter I do believe it specifically says to bring pictures of your life together.

Hi... May be a silly question regarding form G325a?

In the last box at the bottom, my spouse (the one applying for AOS, would check the box Status of Permanent Resident.....??

And I (US Citizen) would check "other" and type in I-130???
