My fiancé had his interview in London on November 17. This past Friday, November 25, the visa status went to "issued". He couldn't remember what method he chose to receive notification from DX Courier, so he called them yesterday, Monday the 28th. They were able to give him a tracking number even though they said the visa has not yet been released to them from the embassy, that it must still be in processing. I do know that when the status says "issued" it means the visa has been printed into the passport and it's ready to be picked up by the courier.

Most people in the uk receive their passports anywhere from 7 to 10 days with the occasional 12 to 16, but those are few and far between.

Has anyone had issues with receiving their visas from DX in a timely manner recently? Today would be day 12 since the interview.

How many days after your status went to "issued" did you receive the email notification from DX? And can we trust that tracking number from DX if they don't even have the passport yet? Just seems odd.

Thanks!

Even though no one has read this as of yet, I wanted to give an update...

My fiancé called DX again because when he called them yesterday, we found that we hadn't received info from them on how he'd be notified. Upon speaking with someone today, they said that the visa is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, November 30. We were shocked, but the lady said it had literally been updated as of an hour ago.

Also because some others on VJ had said that they had to select "rebook for delivery" on the DX website in order to schedule an actual delivery date, I expected to see that on their site, but it just said delivery was set for tomorrow. And we received no email from the embassy about his visa being issued to the courier. Everything in this process has gone differently than expected for us it seems, but at least we're almost there now.

I hope this helps someone in the future. Good luck!

Hi

Nice to see that his visa got issued

Unless he payed them 18£ for home delivery then the passport will be kept at their location.

Every county has a DX location he can use the track number to see if they have it in that location

What is his county ? I can try to find the location address for him

For example if he is from West Yorkshire their location would be Leeds .

He needs to go there with an id

Hi! Yeah, we paid the 18gbp for home delivery, so here's to hoping it gets here tomorrow as they're projecting. Yay!

As I recall I had to reschedule mine, and then when I did it literally came about 5 minutes before the last possible time they stated that deliveries ended.

Don't worry too much - you are very close!

I am picking mine up from DX. Had a terrible experience with DX in Southampton when they were supposed to deliver my new passport. I would have gone all the way to London to pick it up from the embassy if I could because I have such little faith in DX. Hope yours goes well tomorrow - please report back!
