I would like for someone to help me with an issue. I am just starting the K-1 Visa process. My fiancee's divorce was final in July 2016. On his marriage license to his most recent wife, it shows that he was previously divorced. He and the 1st wife (many years ago) were drunk and got married, but according to Ecuadorian law the marriage was invalid so there are no divorce papers. How should I document this? I don't want this to cause a conflict...I'm concerned only because his marriage certificate to his 2nd wife states that he was divorced when he was marrying her.

My thoughts is that I should add a page explaining why it states he is divorced on the certificate. How should I handle this?

I guess the divorce paper would be enough
