Red Flag If We Apply for Dad's AOS Now? [split topic]

My wife is getting her citizenship tomorrow and her father is here on a visitor visa till January. He technically entered before we even filed her N-400 application, (August 14th vs I think August 29th). We weren't intending for him to file for PR status, it just happens that her naturalization process proceeded much more quickly than was expected. Is it worth even attempting to file an AOS since he is here already? I don't even think her father wants to apply right now. Just curious if we could expedite the process if we started while he's here or if that would just raise red flags.

If she is a USC then it won't be a red flag.

However, there is no expediting. She files ONLY after she is sworn in as a citizen. But the process for her father will take the same amount of time.
