That's what I thought! but I went to the az jury duty website and it said people are also selected from the dmv database. It would make sense if it were only people who could vote, they wouldn't waste money sending it to PR's or would be PR's.

If I am reading it correctly (I only did a brief search, and could be proven a fool), the citizen population over the age of 18 is 197 million, and only 142.1 million are registered to vote. If you only use the voter registration to select for jury duty, you miss 54.9 million, or almost 28% of the population eligible for jury duty.

clloyd, from what i read every county does it differently. In maricopa county, where there is a high percentage of immigration it doesn't make sense to waste money in this area.

I got a similar letter and simply ignored it since I'm not eligible to serve on the jury.

Careful, most places you still need to let them know you are ineligible, otherwise they think you are deliberately trying to avoid duty. At least that's how it is in upstate NY.

i have only been called to jury duty twice in my life..both times, did not get called...being a therapist gives you off such things usually...
