Hi, I'm currently adjusting my status from F1/OPT extension. My I485 is still pending and I have an EAD/AP comb card. I'm traveling with my hubby in two weeks on a Cruise ship to several Caribbean islands. May I know what I need to bring to reenter the U.S.? I assume the EAD/AP card and passport should be sufficient? Do I need to bring the AP application form/approval form? Also, I know when I came to the U.S. before, there's always the Non-citizen and GC holder/U.S. citizen lines at the custom, which line should I go to? Is it better for me and my hubby to present at the window together or separately? Thank you very much.

1. AP + Passport + Copy of I-485 Receipt

2. You can go with your spouse in his line.

Thank you.

For the I485 receipt, did you mean the receive notice, approval notice or both?

Hi, May I ask one more question? I just realized that on my AP application form, I randomly put the Intended Departure Date as November 2016. But we are actually traveling on December. Would this cause an issue for us?

If you already have the AP card in hand (with a current, valid date), it does not matter what you wrote on your application (most people without set specific plans choose a random date or put TBD) - you have the authorization to travel now so you can travel if you choose to do so.

Yes, I already had my AP. Thank you for your answer.
