it's another facet on how our immigration system works. i question if our jails are even looking at status when they're able to

I would say I know of an individual right now in a very blue state, who is an immigrant and has committed an extremely severe crime. I can't of course say I know for sure that they arrived here illegally, but I have my suspicions. For sure they are still sitting in jail and have been sitting there for over a month. The bail is set so high it's doubtful they would ever get out. It is without a doubt they know of their status in America, and when they are convicted no doubt I will assume they will be removed after serving their time. If someone has committed a crime, I'm sure they very much are aware of their status. Immigration though is not in the state domain, it is in the federal domain. It's the fed's job to remove them, and it's the state's job to prosecute them for their severe crimes. There's no real framework for a state to be involved in immigration matters you know?

right but I'm talking about things like domestic violence and minor drug or traffic infractions

but the problem is how do they know? if one has an id not connected to immigration status?

You're not being consistent here. Don't 34 states already have voter id laws? What do you mean they can't ask for id when voting?

In states with no voter id law, a cop is perfectly within his/her right to ask for id from a suspected criminal.

I only know about Texas, they tried to require official ID like Driver License or Passport, but it was stuck down by a Federal Court so now they allow stuff like : Certified birth certificate (must be an original)

  • Copy of or original current utility bill
  • Copy of or original bank statement
  • Copy of or original government check
  • Copy of or original paycheck
  • Copy of or original government document with your name and an address (original required if it contains a photograph

You are correct they can ask ID from suspected criminal. There is no cops in Texas who would risk their job or a Federal Lawsuit and ask a voter for ID just because he/she is voting.

But Texas has a voter id law, they are already asking for id to vote. If a person is suspected of bypassing those voter id laws with a fake id or some other way, they are committing a crime. You're saying a cop will not follow up on this crime for the fear of repercussions from the feds? I'm calling bs on that.

When do you think you might have a better grasp on the actual numbers of voter fraud incidents that take place? Are there any FBI crime stats due out soon?

She got 6 million less because she was a very flawed person, and she was the poster child for lying and corruption and the DNC establishment.

I promise you almost zero illegals aliens voted to Make America Great Again

Why are you, The Donald, and the rest of the merry henchmen so unwilling to prove illegals didn't vote for Trump?

Where there's smoke there's fire. Just saying...

Yes, that is what I am saying.

You can show paycheck stub, bank statement, Electric Bill when you go to vote. The people there who check ID or requirements are volunteers and usually old people. They don't have cops anywhere near the polling places.

No true,

Sanctary cities shelter illegal immigrants and for the most part local authorities do not cooperate with federal immigration officials. As a result, prosecuting or deporting illegal aliens who commit crimes is much harder.

i find it odd that Florida is considered a sanctuary state (not city but state) yet we have regular ICE raids

Why would an illegal alien vote for the guy who wants to deport them? They would vote for Hillary who was ready to hand out green cards and citizenships to them.

DUH!

for some it was due to abortion laws.

DUH!

Why would White middle and lower class Americans vote for a con man, tax and service dodger, supporter of US steel workers who buys Chinese steel, supporter of US workers that hires and/or marries illegal aliens but wants all the rest of the illegals deported?

So many questions.

I take it they don't have phones to call the cops in the polling places either?

In Mass we have at least one cop on detail in every polling place while the polls are open.

Really, We don't have cops at ours, never seen one in my life. We are not allowed to even carry a gun in a polling place either.

How would a person working at a polling place determine if a person is Illegal? Color of skin? Using a electric bill instead of a DL? Please tell me how they would suspect they were illegal?

We are talking about voter fraud which is a crime. Whether or not the person is illegal really doesn't matter.

Why do you believe that voter fraud takes place in such large numbers when there are absolutely no statistics to back that up? I mean we have all sorts of stats for every kind of crime, but nothing for voter fraud? That alone would make me wonder if these claims of voter fraud actually hold water or not.

As I said before, I don't think anyone enforces it or cares to enforce it, especially since it is once every 4 years. They know it exists but dont' have the resources or just don't care to enforce it. Just like they turn a blind eye to Illegal Aliens in the USA. It's easier to ignore than face it
