Hi altruists,

My US citizen aunt filed petition for my Mother in 2003. Got mail from from nvc in nov 2015. After sending necessary document of my Father and Mother 2 months later they wanted for mine. I am 24 at this moment.

But after sending my documents 9 days ago, they haven't mailed back confirmation which they did in case of my Mother and Father. What should we do?And How much time it would take to visa appointment?

Another question is that in my passport my Mother's title is different(which she had at her dads) that of her own passport will this be a problem? Am I going to be subject of admisinstrative processing during visa interview?

9 days isn't that long, especially over the holidays; the process tends to slow down between mid November and early January.

What do you mean with your mother's title? Her name, or just something like "the third"?

I assume you checked to see you have not aged out?

Yes its the 2nd name actually. As we have 2 names.

My mother kept her father's 2nd name before. But in her recent passport she used my father's name.As a result my passport which was issued few years ago has my mother's old 2nd name in mother's name portion.

So essentially she changed her name due to marriage, even though she didn't do it immediately upon marriage. This shouldn't be a problem.

You take the date on the notice that the petition was received and the date of the notice that the petition was approved and calculate the number of days between the two. You take that many days off your real age.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

All I know that the petition was filed on September 2003. And in September 2015 we received a latter from NVC stating they have our visa petition. So am I going to to sabstract these two years?

The petition was filed in 2003. It was approved sometime, maybe a couple of years later. This is NOT the same date NVC contacted you, but much earlier.

Well then how to find the approving date? I have NVC case number and invoice ID number.

Ask your aunt. She must have received an approval notice for the I-130 she filed about 10 or more years ago.

You must find out your approval date to determine CSPA status. Nov 2015 is when NVC let you know your visa number is ready, not approval day from USCIS.

Firstly, I don't know how to find the approval date.

Secondly, paperwork has been completed in my name also I see my name as a child under applicant's name in CEAC portal.

Now, do I need to worry about being aged out?
