It has been here too. Globally though, I guess the satellite data shows winter is coming to the northern hemisphere.

Anecdotally, I know Winter/snow came a bit earlier than normal in Krasnoyarsk. Several days in the -20s C, and more snow than they usually see this early. Apparently, there are a lot of ice/snowballs on the coast weather forecasters are referencing as a sign NA will be a colder than normal Winter.

Think of climate change as your lungs. you get a cold and you cough and feel bad until it is gone just like the earth repairs its self when volcanoes erupt polluting the air, floods and fires scorch the land but eventually the air clears, and trees and plants grows back. Global heating and cooling has been going on for a long as the earth has been around.

Now you start putting smoke in your lungs (man made pollution), a couple of cigarettes a day will probably not hurt you as early man probably was not hurting the earth with his pollution. But now your a chronic smoker, smoking a couple of packs a day and now when you get a cold, your cough is deeper and last longer and will probably lead to an early death. Just like the earth with more and more man made chronic pollution, its will take longer for it to heal itself, longer for the air to clear, longer for the plants to grow back.

Deforestation, air, water and land pollution (all cigarettes ) a day at a time no big change but over the years will have an effect!

Yes, where it is allowed to, the earth can heal itself. Look at S. Korea in the 50s. Nearly completely void of trees after the war, and Japan coming in and stealing their wood as well as the production of Ondol. Fast forward to today, and S. Korea has over 60% forest-covered land, thanks to their people getting smarter on harvesting wood and a strong government push to end illegal logging.

But where man walks in, cuts down the trees, and builds cities for population growth, those trees will never grow back like before. So yes, we affect the earth and it's atmosphere. How much? Well, that remains to be seen. Nature has a way of putting things back in order after we are gone. Look at Chernobyl, arguably one of the wort things mankind has ever done to the earth. It has taken 30 years, but Nature has done it's best to come back.
