is the picture in your visa will be the one to be used in your greencard and ssn or they will take a different photo?

is it possible to change the picture in your greencard and ssn?

i already have a visa and i will be migrating to US this January. ?

Wait.....do SS cards have pictures now? Last time I checked, they don't include any picture at all. They're just made out of paper and look like this:

SS cards do not contain a photo. When you adjust status..to get your green card..if I remember correctly ..you do need another ( new) photo.

Im sorry what visa are you entering on?

If its an immigrant visa then they use that photo from the visa. If you are adjusting status you do biometrics again and they use the new photo.

You can apply for citizenship in 5 years or renew it every 10.

And no, you dont provide a new picture. No one really sees the green card anyhow once you get state id.

They'll use the photo you sent in with your green card application, until you get your 10-year card. Yes, you have to renew the 10-year card, every 10 years.
