Was your mother married at the time you were born? And, prior to your birth, did she have a minimum of 5 years of physical presence in the US, 2 of which occurred after she was 14 years old?

IF the answer to both of those questions is "yes", then apply for a US passport, with all of your supporting evidence, and see if you have sufficient evidence to show your mother transmitted US citizenship to you.

Doesn't matter if she was married if she was the US citizen at the time of his birth.

OMG really !!!!! but why did they approve me in the first place and gave me a freaking conditional residence green card ??? so you're saying they could've made a mistake ? how can i apply to be a USC ?? and btw yes my mom is a white born American and yes she was my mother when she gave me birth duh lol they divorced years after my birth so i guess I should be a USC already ?? I'm so confused i swear

Did you move to the USA before you were 18?

You can try the N-600. But likely because you're an adult it may not happen that way.

Will you be 29 within the next year or two?

You must not have told USCIS your mother was a USC at the time of your birth. Have you had disclosed this fact you would have never been issued a visa in the first place.

At this point this may cause more problems than it will solve. Like I said you'll be ineligible for naturalization when the time comes.

Some people end up in a limbo in your situation. USCIS won't let you naturalize because they suspect you are already a USC, but DoS might not be convinced or you don't have enough evidence to prove your mother's physical presence in the US prior to your birth and so DoS might refuse to issue a US passport to you, same with USCIS if you file an N-600.

On the other hand if you have the required evidence, you can file N-600. If you are going to do it, do it soon because the fee increase will happen soon.

You guys are awesome , thank you so much for the valuable informations as of my mother yes she lived 25 years in the US and moved to Morocco with my dad and had me born in Morocco , I have couple photos plus her infos, unfortunately i don't know much about her since she married this other dude but the good thing is i have my Moroccan birth certificate which has her infos plus 3 or 4 childhood photos. Idk if it's good proof or not but I will definitely reach out to the USCIS and see what they say. OMG I'm so EXCITED LOOOOL :dancing:

Maybe this thread was a way to find out that I am actually a USC hahaha , and for those who told me to pack my stuff and go back i sincerely tell you thank you for your comments, they made my day, I will serve and protect your rights and the land ur on. Peace and love :dancing:

Congrats now no one can tell you go home this IS your home.

Find out the correct way to go about it. I suggest speak to the recruiters in the marines they may be able to help you speedy things along ;)

I would've expected moderators to have stepped in by now.

Anyone telling another poster to "pack your bags and go home" has surely posted an offensive message. It's out of order and uncalled for.

OP you really need to look into your situation again as you may be in an application process that ultimately is futile.

I too think it's odd that having a parent who's a USC wasn't disclosed earlier to USCIS as I would hope they would steer you into the right direction.

Good luck with your next course of action and your dream of joining the military. Good to see you keeping calm with some of the abusive posts in my opinion, you'll need it out on the front!

Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated. We'll see what happens when i go for my bio-metric apt, i will definitely tell them what happened.

I think an attorney is a good idea. It certainly sounds like you are a USC from birth, but you need to be able to prove it (specifically your mother's physical presence in the US prior to your birth). Your word isn't enough, you have to back it up with documents proving she was living in the US.

I've got like 4 photos of us together when i was at a really young age and couple more when she was in high school with friends and stuff. I'd say total of 10 pictures, the only bad thing is she won't sing anything to prove i'm her son because her husband hates me for some reason , that's another topic but yeah Iv'e got evidence that she's my mom in writing and with photos.

It would be really nice to actually gain something from a mom that abandoned me for some dude out there :( . but good looking out guys, thank you for informing me i really appreciate it
