According to this, less than 1% of visas are denied at the interview stage. Most denials come at earlier stages.

It all depends. As what they have said above, you can get denied at any stage, even in the POE. You just really need to stay calm and tell the truth in each of the step you undertake while processing.

Good luck :)

In general during the visa journey process, there's no need to fret about statistics. Everyone's case is different, and as such will be decided accordingly. It's not like there's a random Russian roulette factor where you'll just end up denied because the statistics need to balance out.

Like the others said: just be honest and try to remain calm....nobody likes waiting! That's why most of us hang around VJ trying to distract ourselves. Fear of the unknown is normal. :alien:

1% denial rate means nothing. If you are not in the 1% it doesn't matter to you and if you are in the 1% it's of little comfort to know that denials are very rare - for those people it's 100% bad news.

That said, it's useful for anyone doing this to know that denials do exist and no two cases are the same. Whilst we all worry and fret about denials, the only thing you can do is tell the truth and give it your best shot. No visa is ever guaranteed and there is nothing anyone can do or say to 100% guarantee approval. But there is a lot you can do to reduce the chances of denial.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath
